omg so amazing.
he started out wearing his signature black jacket of course, and also.. emo glasses. omg so kawaii! i'm not sure when he took the glasses off exactly i just noticed at one point they were gone so must have been when he turned around to get a drink. the jacket only stayed on for maybe two songs.
he played all his new tracks that he did at the birthday live.. that untitled one with all the obscene heavy breathing.... oh yeah... No No No, Music is Free, and he did in fact do Strong, I wasn't sure if he would without Kreva but i downloaded the single from itunes the other day and it comes with a MYV only english version and that is the version he did at the show. really good.
he actually played Jibun Kakumei AND Itoshii Hito!!!!!!! the 2 old songs I wanted to hear the most. couldn't believe it T___T
he did Selfish Love also. those 3 were all with the accoustic.
he did a good chunk of the What's My Name album, a few that he didn't do were Unbreakable, Torture, Chillin' .., I Love You.., .. umm.. i don't think he did Moon.. anyway every song he did do was phenomenal so i didn't feel like it was missing anything. (though i would have liked to hear Unbreakable but oh well)
he is so aware of the audience at all times, it's amazing. even when playing a difficult part on guitar with no vocals he is looking at the audience and making deliberate poses and expressions, not like some guitarists who get all serious and just look like they're concentrating, he always acts like the most important thing is how he looks to the audience. He interacted with the crowd quite a bit as well. at one point he turned around to say something to Bobo and a fan screamed out something in Japanese (i couldn't hear what they said) and he whipped around all ^0^ and said "sugoi!! your japanese is great!!" a couple of times people yelled things out to him he answered back.. at one point someone passed up a canadian flag, he took it from them personally and hung it up on the equipment. someone up front at stage right was holding up signs through the show, at the end he took them and held them up for us to see, one was "we like short shorts", poking fun at Bobo (the drummer - he always wears these teeny striped shorts)
..stuff like that. very in tune with the audience, very cool. and that man does everything in his power to make girls scream, it's like he draws his energy from it. he knows all it takes is a little gesture or expression at the right timing, and he does it oh so well. my ears weren't ringing from the music, it was from the screaming LOL. he's an absolute ham who loves to be centre of attention haha but it makes for an amazing performance.
a few times he came right to the edge of the stage and let the girls grab his legs.. he's crazy lol. he also started taking his shirt off at one point omg i thought i'd go deaf from the screams lol. he moves around the stage quite a bit too so if you're not in the middle you still get a bit of fanservice lol. at the end during the last encore he went to the middle, the right and then the left, came right up onto the speakers and reached down into the crowd to touch hands... i was right behind the stageleft speakers, there were 4 people between me and the speakers. as soon as he started coming our way i just got pushed right up to the speaker. i had to just go limp and let the crowd carry me or i would have been trampled to death by 14 year old girls hahaha. anyway i got sooooo close but couldn't quite reach him.
oh yeah ... and at one point when he came over to our side during a song he looked out into the crowd.. and i know everyone says this after concerts and nobody ever believes them.. but i swear we made eye contact and he kept it for a good few seconds.. i'm not sure when i started breathing again... *dies*
oh one other thing i almost forgot, while we were waiting in line to get in (i was right in front of his bus... talk about torture. i kept trying to see in but there was just a little crack under the shade on the windshield i couldn't see much, just movement now and then and staff coming and going now and then with food etc) someone passed around a canadian flag (a different one than the one he took up on stage) and had everyone in line sign it. i'm guessing they were on the meet and greet list and gave it to him after the show. so it's quite possible that MYV has my autograph haha i just wish i had his :P
next time i really want to get a meet and greet pass, we were so jealous of the people who got to stay for that, and i've seen some photos on facebook of people from the M&G who got their pics taken with MYV... how cool would that be T__T
