Jinxinsiyu:

@AwkwarDerp you can rest assured that madam Tai is not the one who helped Qiao because I've seen a clip in baidu where Qiao is begging her but she pushes her away. And she's part of the last meal scene so if she commited something so grave I don't think she'll be part of the happy ending.

That’s good to hear. I’m excited for other characters to unfold

Saw this clip on weibo. Watch till the end. Interesting development.  Seems like Ou family might be involved in the death of Shiyi mother.

Hah! That's been my suspicion all along. Thanks for sharing.

Just saw a new prewiev, looks like we're getting the classic "suspect the ML of doing it". Apparently they're saying that what ultimately killed Shiyi niangs mother was an arrow. And of course the arrow is Lingyis, or looks like his at least. I really hope Shiyi doesn't believe in it for even one minute. Frankly she'd be letting down her own character if she does. I mean, it's just ridiculous to even think that he has something to do with it.

I think it's the childless concubine. I'm now up to ep 30, and she has been like the master manipulator for all the stuff going on inside the house. And she does it so sneakily that when the schemes are reveled she's never involved

I am coming round to that way of thinking too but I still can't figure out her motive.

I haven't seen the latest episodes, but I sort of like the theory. Concubine Qin is considered to not be very smart/uneducated, so nobody would really suspect her of being the mastermind behind anything. Although I'd still expect the Ou family to be the ones behind her, but still.

Do you guys think Amber’s missing sister will be important to the story?

@Alekzu, I think she's the mole helping Ou's family and giving them intel. Ou's family is definitely the overt bad guy, but someone inside the family is helping them out and I'm pretty sure it's Qin! Not really sure what was her motivation.

@AwkwarDerp I think Amber's sister is the adopted daughter of that official (the one currently being a dancer that ShiYi's BIL tried to rape). Regardless she is the reason that Amber is forced to do the stepmom's bidding, so for that she is pretty important.

Oo I'm not where you are yet but my initial thought was Master Jian because of the embroidery but I guess not. They're prob so many more new characters to come.

I finally got through 30 episodes and i think this is where business going to start, characters starting to unfold

The stepmom and the pirate seem like the most logical, but  what about the Ou wife and the pirate.

There is definitely a mole. It's a guessing game as to who

If there's any mole,it's definitely Qin. In the novel she's also the main antagonist of Shiyi since she has a son there who would benefit on Shiyi and Chen/zhun's downfall. And if the screenwriter adapted the part of the novel where they were pregnant, (Qin,Wen and Tong) she possibly blames the XU family for her miscarriage. She definitely got hurt that she gave everything to their family but she was not given the proper care.

The reason why I don't think it's Wen is because of her personality. She is someone who is so transparent. Unlike Qin who is quiet but there is something on the way she looks.

I also agree Wen is portrayed to be very carefree like she likes to be straightforward and stuff. On the other hand, Qin definitely gives out a lot of weird vibe, especially after that incident where she didn't have a chance to get a child. I think she could've been fine, but Qiao was inserting her with thoughts like "ShiYi won't care about someone like you" and also, since that accident, she acted very weird too
