Yeah... I liked the fighting scene, but was totally bewildered when the song started playing. I glared at the TV and went "WTFF?!?!?!" (<--- Yes, I meant to add 2 Fs...lol)

LOL! "What the flipping frack" ??

The last two episodes felt really slow but still kind of made me wonder about certain things in a good way and posed more questions I want answers to! LIKE ...

1) What? That Shaman woman is the Jade Emperor's sister? What?
2) What is Kim Eun Oh's history besides how he came to see ghosts? They haven't shown any of his father yet and I know this is being done purposely by the writers. They are holding that part of his story back and only telling us bits and pieces.
3) I am as curious as Moo Young about Eun Oh's "Ghost Minion Killing Fan" (does the fan kill people too?)
4) Speaking of Moo Young... The Jade Emperor and The King Of The Underworld keep dropping hints about him... What is his story?

Those things and more are some of the 'quiet' happenings in 9 and 10 that make me excited for the future eps and why I forgive the slow pace.

Plus I liked the change in dynamic between Arang and Eun Oh. *** I could actually FEEL his emotion and upset when he found out about her having to leave after two moons regardless of where she ends up. That whole scene moved me and then what followed as well. The ending was so different and I really like it. ***

your question 1 shaman lady ... are you talking about the funny one or the evil witch? Jade emperor sister is the one that is possessing LJK's mom. I believe the funny shaman lady would prob have a big role later on since since we been seeing her alot through out the show, and plus i'm pretty sure her book got lots of neat information in regard to some of the things the witch is doing.
in term of the fan .... he learned his martial art from his master so i'm guessing maybe he got that from his master
?
Hmmm all these different thoughts on the situation is so interesting. My 2 cents on the subject...Moo Young sister is the one being possessed by the evil spirit and that Eun Oh is his nephew. Moo Young had questions about Eun Oh's abilities and the fan he carried that allowed him to banish the ghouls created by Eun Oh's possessed mother

***Now I am confused because I thought the Jade Emperor said that Crazy Freak Evil Plastic Surgery Woman was his sister not Moo Young's??? *** I must have heard something wrong. I am still in the dark about Moo Young's story or his relationship if any to Eun Oh. And Euh Oh's background...esp his father is still untold! I hope they tell it well.

Okay...I just rewatched. I misread the subs. Mangagirl has it right about who she is. (I don't know about the Eun Oh part)

Na do!! But there seems to be more to this. and the end of 10 *When Arang and Eun Oh are sitting there talking about his mother and her time being up...Such a great ending! ...and I just kept thinking how heart broken and messed up he's going to be when he finds out the truth about her!!! OMO!!***
OK, I need to vent to someone, anyone who will listen. I just have to get this out.

If you haven't watched up to episode 9, consider this your spoiler warning and don't read anymore.

--------------

I'm starting to get irritated with the dynamic between the three leads (Eun Oh, Arang and Ju Wal).

I'm getting REAL SICK of Eun Oh and his abrasive and selfish character, particularly the way he acts toward Arang. She goes out of her way to help him over and over, and every time she does something, he counters it with some rude insult or criticism. I know what some people will say to me, "oh, that's just the way his character is," uh huh, ok, yeah, BUT STILL, it's pissing me off.

Arang and Eun Oh have NO chemistry! She's strong, abrasive and stubborn and so is he. It's like hitting two stones together all the time watching them and it's not fun. Why am I rooting for the guy who stabbed her??? TWICE! That is NOT right. I shouldn't like him more, but for some distorted reason, I do. Even though I *know* it's disingenuous, I still appreciate that he at least shows some kindness. No one else in this series does! Arang is pretty much the only genuinely likable character in the series (The Jade Emperor is OK, but his obviously fake wig drives me bananas):

The three idiots that work at the Magistrate grounds are selfish and petty. I don't think they're funny at all.

Dol Soe is loud and ignorant.

The shaman woman is a coward.

Eun Oh is selfish and rude.

Ju Wal is a selfish murderer liar.

Who am I supposed to root for here?? I just don't get it.

*end rant* I don't mean to offend anyone with this, but I'm just watching this and getting irritated with people's behaviors. And I'm getting tired of watching Arang run to Eun Oh's defense all the time, only to have him verbally smack her in the face as a result.
You're not offending anyone, it's your opinion and you're entitled to have it :) I'm loving Arang and The Magistrate, basically because it is not a romantic comedy and it was never intended to be. I think Shin Min Ah and Lee Jun Ki have great chemistry, even if their characters sometimes don't. I do understand your point about them being so stubborn, but yet again, relationships in real life are like that, sometimes you say mean things to the person you like, or treat him (or her) really badly. I do not ship Arang with Ju Wal at ALL. That is just creepy, as you said and I think, too that Dol Sae is way too nosy and annoying. I do like Eun Hoo's character, and he sometimes does a lot for Arang, too and she treats him pretty badly, so they're kind of even. If there's one thing this drama definitely ISN'T is sexist :)
