AHHH me too!! Been refreshing the page every 2 minutes for subs! Hope this will turn out really good :)
I started watching this drama last weekend during a break from working on my final exams. I fell in love instantly...(I had been originally reticent about beginning this drama, since I was already watching RTP and that has time travel also). However, as much as the similarities lie in time-travel, the overall feel of this drama is quite different. I really like the lead male; he has that cool intelligence yet warm smile. I can't wait til episode 5 and 6 get subbed--I've watched them raw and I could feel the chemistry between the leads even if I couldn't understand what was being said.

I dropped RTP and picked up this one. I'm happy I did. It really depends on you, they are truly different. RTP is funnier but also a lot fluffier, and has so many plot-lines I needed a navigator.
This one, on the other hand, has a different approach to the time travelling, one which is rendered clear from the beginning. It has a charming male lead, so darn smart and although he is 300+ years old he is the most gentle, chivalrous man towards women I have ever seen in a K-drama. It's also a lot shorter, since the episodes are only 45 min. long and there are... 15 episodes altogether, I think. :)

I loved episode 4.

I'm with you. Did you watch episode 5? I couldn't resist and watched it raw. Without spoiling: he learns the greeting etiquette VERY fast. One must love smart men. ;)

If this drama had started around the same time as RTP, RTP wouldn't have stood a chance with me.

I haven't...I've been itching to watch it, since I don't mind re-watching this drama (I've already re-watched episodes 1 & 2 while waiting for more subs :D).

But yes, I love how smart he is and how they have approached showing he's smart without having to be said since the he way he acts does it all. At the end of episode 4 after she taught him the greeting "etiquette" (teehee), he smiled and I melted even though I don't think he's eyecandy at all. He just has a little something something...lol I also almost squealed like a schoolgirl...lol

I fully agree here. On the surface, he's not the most smexy boy or pretty boy, but he has this charm that melts me. The greeting "etiquette" scene hit me hard; especially because of the location. Also, unlike LeeGak in RTP, BongDo figures out things mostly by himself. I like that because it allows that "smartness" to shine through, yet they also give the right amount of fish-out-of-water for his character.

Again, I agree. I've read your episodes reviews and always thought exactly the same thing. I too don't think he's eye-candy, but there is something in his quiet movements and the stillness with which he observes the world around him - and looks at her - which is... sexy? This is a silly detail, but I love the fact that he so tall and often leans forward to be at her level when she speaks to him. :D

Oh, and may I add how happy I am to have a heroine who for once hasn't been abandoned or has a secret birth, isn't crying every minute of the day and, without being a genius helps him in his quest?

Yes, I agree. He does have a charm and it's totally working on me. That's also what I like about him, he relies on her about as much as I would rely on a stranger when I'm asking for directions. He asks, says thank you, and stops imposing (even though she wants him to impose).

I was surprised by her teachings because she was the one doing it and he was the surprised one, but I still loved it. And in this case, him being totally caught by surprise and not really knowing how to approach the situation totally works since he's from Joseon times.

That leaning forward you mentioned right there, I love when he does that. He's playful, yet serious at the same time. And the best thing is, it works. Or at least for me it does. I would call him sexy too. He's overflowing with charisma. *sigh*

I'm very, very happy for this main female too. I like that she's also straightforward. :)

I'm so glad more people are watching this.
I have to agree with Lis on the leaning forward thing and the fact that Hee Jin wears flat when he does it makes it more sweet. @amrita yea i so love that fact that there is some birth secret, crying heroine etc. Ep 6 made me love Hee Jin & Boong Do so damn much. Plus Dong Min is so funny & his fails make him kinda cute. This is actually the first show where i actually don't hate any of the main characters. Even Na Jung is kinda funny.
Where are people watching episode 5 and 6?! Is it subbed?!

WHUUUUUUT!? That sounds really goood!!! Dying to watch it now!! Just cant resist a smart intelligent yet somewhat simple man :) agree with everyone that looks-wise he's not the most beautiful but somehow he's sooo attractive!!!

oooh clever! :)
OK, I caved in and watched Ep. 05 Raw. I think I got the gist of it. It was probably not meant to be funny, but I kind of laughed when she was crying over his death when he had already been dead even before she was born. And Rita, he did learn fast...lol I loved how her friend/manager was like an embarrassing parent and she resorted to lie about what she was doing in the library. I think she said he was helping her study history for her drama...lol
