So am I. My condition is: a lot of hellos and goodbyes...

We are on the same boat here, ladies. It seems we are all falling under the spell of a quiet, pensive man who can smile and can bid his farewell with etiquette...

Yeah, it seems like he does too. I would have probably only remembered the first 3 numbers and that because it's the area code...lol

I wouldn't mind lots of hellos and goodbyes either. :D

I think you are right and here's a little present. You all remember from which scene this is, right?

Thank you Lis for the secret-gardenish reminder, hehehehehe. ;)
Please note that she didn't slap him or throw water at him. lol

By the way, someone in the episode reviews section wrote about his skills as hair-stylist. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not the best judge about Korean male hair-styles, but the fact that this man is pure genius is making him more hot in my eyes!
He has thought of going to Seoul ahead of the letter of his prison break... can you imagine the Minister's face when he sees Boong Do???

I know right! His knowledge is limitless - who in that situation would think hang on - my time and modern time runs paralell with each other so I gotta travel to Seoul to save the world etc - just amazes me how intelligent he is. None of the typical suddenly-losing-his-intelliegence-the-moment-he's-in-distress nonesense! Plus he remember random numbers that he doesnt know about but then it comes in handy! Any normal person would just disregard it! Only Boong Do! And only him can re-light my fire!

I wouldn't have thrown water on him either...*sigh*
I saw that comment and I giggled...lol

Yes, I love that he doesn't despair when it gets tough. But I think she may not be as dumb as her bubbly personality suggests since she also took the calendar of her phone and started comparing dates.

Well, I just finished watching ep. 5 subbed (I downloaded the first version of the subs at DSS, they are pretty good for being the 1st non edited version)

And in the car scene when the friend/manager makes the kissy face, she's actually warning him to be careful of Hee Jin since she's an "impulsive child". I laughed even more.

Also, I had commented that I found it amusing that she was crying over a person who had died long before she was born...And she says something about how ridiculous it was that she was crying over someone who died over 300 years ago...that made me laugh even more at that scene too.

When he calls her, he sort of brags about learning to use the phone by himself and that it took him three days to learn it...lol <3 I'm sorry, but Lee Gak would have been in despair for that long and more...lol

Also watching the subbed episode, the library scene when she sees that he's back, it's more meaningful because he talks about trust and how she's his teacher.

Does anyone remember when in Ep. 6, he sees her dressed as Queen In Hyun on the tv and he just stands there looking mesmerized? Well, it was obvious that he was like that because he liked what he saw, but I remembered at the end of ep. 5 they showed previews of ep. 6 and that part was there. So, I waited to see if they also subbed that and they did! He said something along the lines of her being dressed like that was the most beautiful he has seen her. *fans herself*

He's from Joseon, of course he's going to think that's the standard for beauty and I liked that they did that way.

I was wondering that too. That really must cause some sort of ripple in history.

I also agree with the comment about the comment about the female lead. She's definitely more than just someone with a cute demeanor.

Ohhhhh, honestly, the look alone spoke volumes. I loved that scene, and how they made the surrounding disappear while showing him and the image of her on screen. I had to laugh when she approaches him with those huge sunglasses and he looks at her as if she had grown two heads. LOL
I also like the fact that they address the issue: taste changes in time. Have you ever gone to one of those portrait galleries where you are faced with reputed beauties of the 16th century or earlier and you find out they were either fat or skeletal, with dark circles around their eyes, horribly flat hair, no neck and no shoulders?
Naturally they can't use such people in a period drama or a movie (it would scare away all the fans and more), but I like that the subject is somehow mentioned. :)

She is. She thought about the park, thought about the different measurement of distance, about the dates, and for a woman who looks vain she has shown a good dose of initiative and clear headed thinking. She obviously needs to be a bit of a botcher, otherwise paired with Boong Do they would be the most boring couple on earth. Her sassiness (does the word exist?) is, after all, what fascinates him the most.

That what I love about her! She does bring something different hopefully she doesnt become like the typical kdrama damsel in distress type like with most dramas. Annoys me how the female lead starts of really gutsy and independent then suddenly becomes weak and shy!

Yes, I agree: it annoys me too, more and more. But I have a good feeling about Hee Jin. I don't doubt the drama will at some point grow a little in angst, but I don't see it making a u-turn and become a melodrama with the weak sissy. I definitely hope it keeps this very refreshing blend of light and clever, not too fluffy (I'm truly starting to hate fluff) but not too heavy either. :)

Yes, since we're at episode 6 and she's still as confident as she was in the beginning I'm sure she'll stay the way she is. No doubt it will turn angsty but all dramas do :) I cannot stand melodramas with leads that cant do anything but cry at how crap things have turned out nothing gets on my nerves more than that! Agree with the fluffiness...think this eries has the right amount of fluff so far. Hopefully it will get a littler heavier as the plot deepens but nothing too overly dramatic!
pardon my spelling...its late at night...need to sleep aha!

Have a good night sleep then! We have to wait at least a week anyway, before some of our questions are answered, or more added. ;)
