I can't imagine how you managed to watch 3 episodes, when there are only 2 out... ^^
And he's doing high jumping...
Forget Minho and Sully and watch them as Kang Tae Jun and Go Jae Hee... :)
i admit she might turn into something admirable, but with what we're given in the 1st 2 episodes she makes me miss Oh Ha Ni.

Oh, gosh, don't mention her... DON'T~!!! If the Koreans don't ruin the character (I am almost sure they won't), she's nothing like that stalker... She has a spirit and a real character... Have you read the manga?

;)
:P no i havent read the manga. when it comes to manga i am more of a Berserk, Akira, Helsing kind of chick. i dont usually read Shojo. the lack of beheadings and evisceration is disapointing. what bothers me more than anything is how pervasive this kind of charcter is becoming. in a place like korea where public figures are expected to be role models you have to think that girls take these kind of characters more seriously than american girls would and the message is clear : "dont let him see you have a brain! guys dont want chicks who are their equal."
As a loyal fan to the Japanese version of Hana Kimi I was opposed to this adaptation. Unfortunately, temptation got the better of me and I decided to take a peek at it. To my shame I have to say that I actually like it lol. I like the new atmosphere, I like the main girl (she's super cute), and I like the new situations. It can't even begin to compare to the 2007 J-version, but it's still kinda nice in it's own way. Oh and the suitcase part was hilarious.

I wanna stop comparing it to the other versions because it is attempting to find its own feet and I respect that.
It's like a cover of a good song...sometimes it is better to like the song as a completely different song instead of constantly thinking of it as a cover.

I obviously loved the other versions tons...but I wanna find something about this version that I could possibly love. Gonna give myself a chance to find that.

So far? At least Minho's Sano is less of an emo moody jerk like Oguri Shun. They are attempting to give us a back story and a reason for his frustration in this version. I just hope that the 'love story' doesn't have to be explained the way the J-drama version had to. Remember the special where Nakatsu had to pretty much spell out 'at what point Sano fell for her'? In this version...I wanna see him fall for her.

If this version can do that....then that would be the thing that sets it apart from the J-drama version.

I feel the same way
DMCpawn wrote: I have only seen the first episode, but it was alright. I'm trying to watch it as it's own show, but all I could think about was "this version is pretty good so far, but the 2007 J version is better!" I'm here hoping they keep the nurse gay (doubt it will happen, as Korea is pretty stupid when it comes to homosexuality), having the psychic kid, and Oscar being fabulous. I don't know how much that stuff is from the manga, but it's little things that grew inseparable from me.

(As learning Korean names is hard for me) Sano seems so freakin' moody. At least he has more reasons as to why (e.g. family pressure), but so did the 2007 version Sano! And they really changed Nakatsu's personality. He seems like the nice guy who treats the girl like a human being who will be dumped for the jackass (Sano). I hope it doesn't end up that way, but this show IS directed from the BoF guy. I'm still kinda mad that Nakatsu isn't a goofball.

Then there's Sulli. At the moment, she is worse than the saesang fans after Sano. She is lying about her gender in order to go to school with the guy! That's freakin crazy; I can't forgive that. Unless she has a legitimate reason, like he got injured protecting her, I will see her as the stalkery heroine from Playful Kiss. She is just another saesang until then. And she doesn't even TRY to act like a girl acting boyish! The episode made her seem really feminine, which is bad for trying to pass for a boy. Then there's the fact that a color-blind stylist gave Sulli hot pink lipstick. Just... it was so painfully obvious...

But I LOVE the cinematography! The 2007 version looks like a ghetto school compared to this school! It's so stylish and colorful; I found myself wishing I could live there. It's the biggest reason I'm watching the next episode. Then there's me hoping to see Kris's character XD

I also agree with this. The characters are lacking in this version but the atmosphere is awesome. The subtlety of this version makes it feel like a whole new show to me.
I couldn't get past the first half of episode one :/ This version is just not for me, I just don't get any of that Hana Kimi feel in it at all.
Oh~ this was a really enjoyable episode (the 3rd one)~

I was laughing like crazy all the first 10 minutes of the episode... Tae-Jun's collapsing, the doggy kiss (I can only imagine her pulling him to the bed, haha~), kicking Eun-Gyul (that b*** HaNa...), the next day JaeHee shuting TaeJun's mouth, Eun-Gyul's reaction to Jae-Hee's kiss... hahaha~

The third episode has been the best since the beginning! This drama is setting its own way of handling Hana Kimi and I am definitely liking the spirit of it...

Gosh, I LOVE the camera of this drama~!!! The colors are so vivid and eye catching, every movement is so beautiful, and of course SM's slow-mo cameras... fantastic camera work... I loved the scene with the rain-TaeJun-JaeHee... but let's face it, the umbrella could do the trick too, hm? Well... whatever... I'm hooked...;)

totally agree, ep 3 was really enjoyable, and had tons of good laugh. Eun-Gyul totally stole the spotlight in ep3, i couldnt keep my eyes off him, iunno if it is me but his eyes twinkle! (gawd his eyes are amazing) his reaction and his eyes just totally got the i'm in love feeling.

And unni the colors in this drama is def different, unlike other drama this drama got some really colorful and yet beautiful scenes.

and did u watch the previews? it seems like his oppa is white! cant wait for 2maro!
im confused with the third episode, does tae jun already know she is a girl? cause i didnt really see the previous episodes showing it . . . or he just got drawn in to her like eun gul?
I definitely enjoyed the first episode of this version more than the Taiwanese one, which I totally watched because of Wu Chun and I can't compare with the Japanese one because I just couldn't stomach it. Maybe I'll give a try to the 2011 one, but I know I can't watch the older version, which I dropped it after like 5 minutes..*shrugs* VS, is that Sunny and Luna song the one from the ending credits?

You didn't know? As she has grown up in US, Julien Kang is going to be her oppa~ haha~

SPOILER: He does know she's a girl, since the soccer game she was knocked out and he held her to get her to the hospital. But I like that they have us still wondering~
