*Shoke my pasta* I rated Fashion King 3 then I need to rate this drama from 3 to 5 LOL

Anyway, I've seen ep 18 and I can't wait till this drama ends so that I can go through my drama slump in peace (which is going to happen because of this drama)

Why do I have the feeling that you're going to rate it below 5? You're very hard to please lately :D
Booo! Ep 18, I'm calling your bluff, that last scene seemed all too convenient for it not to be staged!
Stewps... the plot took a dip with<the introduction of the brain damage nonsense>. Not to mention the tug-of-war that ensued between Maru and Eun Gi; things got even worse with the anticlimactic responses from Eun Gi <when she recovered>.

Makjang is a tricky genre. much like the american soap opera they strip characters down to the basest parts of humanity and rely on theatircs and tension to carry the production in place of things like thoughtful, complex character development and plot that is truely engaging emotionally. Melodrama in general requires a clear hero. Your Hero can waver, your hero's bad actions can be justified but in the end the character is always clearly the hero and always the person you root for during the shit storm. who is our hero? attorny park maybe. i cant speak for anyone else but at this point i dont give a crap what happens to Ma Ru and Eun Gi is so poorly done that even though i SHOULD care, she's so annoying i dont.

We have no Hero. What we have instead are three characters who deserve each other and the revenge we have been told to expect they shall wreak upon one another. We dont even really have theatrics. Jae Hee hissing threats at Ma Ru is not theatrical, neither is Ma Ru's sulky character development. Nothing makes you particularly tense, unless of course you're like me and stuff like this irratates you. all i've seen in the 1st 16 episodes is Ma Ru and Jae Hee sticking thier tongues out at each other and Eun Gi having what can only be described as multiple hissy fits. they try heaping on things like memory loss , terminal illness and weak corprate powers plays, tried and true weapons on Makjang, only they seem lacking in umph.

i think this would have been better if they left out Eun Gi's brain damage and just went forward with a revenge traingle.

alright, rant done!

I agree with your rant this drama has gone down in my estimation since the car accident & the anti-climatic events that followed....it would have been better if the main 3 characters just had a last man standing fight to the death on equal terms....I cant see how the pace & plot of this drama can now recover....oh well lets see what the last 2 eps bring.....
I hear nobody died in this drama... hhmmmm.

what i am most disapointed by is the fall of Jae Hee. if you go back a few pages you will see that as a villan in the first few episodes i found her to be truely wonderful and scary. i could only imagine what she would be capable of, she seemed ready to carry out plans of most evil concoction..... and then she she went all garden variety entery level annoying ahjumma on us.

yep she went from evil scheming immoral despot to clingy weak female in a space of few episodes lol
