Huge diasappointement i this drama Gong Yoo have made his image go down by being a part in this drama. Seriously if there wasn't Gil Choong Sik and Kang Kyung Joon sleeping body i would've rated with a 3 !

i rather blame the writers the hong sister for the horrible ending rather than blaming the actors, i really did enjoy Gong Yoo thru out the whole thing. If only they gave us more to the ending ...

Yes but since he agreed to that story, i believe it lower his image after the successful path he took
But yes you're right, it's the story writers fault :(

Remember how we felt about Wild Romance?! I almost think this is worse because you know how much a bad ending can kill all that came before. I mean... if I am saying WTF? After the last few minutes of the last episode then yeah, ...bad bad bad.

I didn't even do that at the end of Wild Romance! At least in that final episode (as stink arse as it was) we got a satisfying last few frames and dialog. Big? not so much.

Totally. Writing FAIL ...The acting was always good.
I wasn't satisfied from the ending @_@ I expected more to happen D: It's a bit disappointing though. If it wasn't for this kind of ending it would be one of my top dramas ever!._.
This drama totally ticks me off. Even though I have been bored with this drama for a while now, I stuck it out for the love of Gong Yoo. I also hoped for a great ending. I knew something was off when they didn't switch back by like episode 14. I really wanted to see the brothers meet and for Joon to meet his parents...then of course there would be a "time jump" and he would meet Da Ran again. Plus I totally wonder now what Da Ran would have even said to Yoon Jae and if Yoon Jae actually loved her!!! If they are going to leave it all up to my imagination, then I really don't need them to write it. I could have done it myself!!! UGH!!! The only Hong Sisters drama that I didn't really like is My Girl, but now I can add this one to the list. Another thing...all this time I have been waiting for a Gong Yoo drama and this is what I get??? He can act, because he carried this drama on his back, but I would have preffered to see him in something that I actually enjoyed. UGH!!!

awww damn it! i was really hoping since the middle had been like drinking beer in the heat (makes you sleepy and queasy) that the end was gonna rock out. boo!!!!!

Why are there so many comparisons to the Hong Sisters is it a good watch? IF it ends badly which i think it does since it's always compared to big,I'm not watching :P
Just finished and I've just been kinda sitting here with disbelieving laughter interspersed with "what the hell"s. For the last several episodes when I wasn't bored, I was irritated. I feel bad for the actors because they're all so good, especially Gong Yoo was amazing in his role. Huge kudos to him for being so great with an awful script and plot. They were probably thrilled to be in a Hong Sisters with a fairly interesting plot, and then... I kept watching because I just kept thinking of all the interesting things they could do especially for the ending plus it IS a Hong Sisters. It has to get better than this, right? But wow. That... That was BAD. Last year's Greatest Love was fantastic, but this, imo, was the absolute worst Hong Sisters to date. I think most of my strong feelings come from the lost potential, the wasted performances, the amount of loose ends that could make up a quilt the size of South Korea, and the funny/memorable/heartwarming moments that were kinda ruined for me as this drama left a bad taste in my mouth for various reasons.

The Hong Sisters wrote Big. Now, there are some HS detractors / people who are NOT fans of them on MDL but I usually love their stuff.

I loved

Greatest Love
Hong Gil Dong

I Liked:

You're Beautiful
Couple Or Trouble
My Girl

I haven't seen

Delightful Girl Choon Hyang
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

But AT LEAST... I have faith in their writing. Big was okay...The writing and over all plot was mediocre compared to their other work and the ending... The ending was confused, silly and just plain stupid.

Someone give me a reason to like or understand what the hell was going on and why they did what they did?

I was actually enjoying this drama on the whole. The last two episodes are the ones that killed it for me. And the last 10 minutes buried it into the ground. It's the investing of the time with a crap fail / no pay off that I resent the heck out of. I'm pissed off at the writers and I never thought I would say that about the Hong Sisters. Ugh.
