I have just finished watching Good Doctor and I really can't describe how good that drama was, all of the deep thoughts I got from it, those feelings I had are really important.and of course Joo Won and Moon Chae Won were too good in their acting, but the only things that keep bothering me about that drama are few questions I would like to ask,

First, I think there was a hole in the plot about Chae Kyeong (the character), they all said something about her dad getting killed by the person who wanted to take over the hospital, but they didn't say anything about how he did that?

Another thing, is that I don't know personally autistic people so I kept wondering and did a research in the net about it, and what I found is that autistic people don't like to be touched and that they don't talk about their feelings, (not to mention, finding love) , so in that drama I felt that Park Shi On was really realiastic but if it is, how can it be that he did talk a lot about his feelings and liked to be touched and also at the end found his love,
So, am I stupid for getting to those answers or that what the drama showed was right and that he probably was not in such a high level of autism?

If someone can help me, I will be glad to hear your answers! :)

I've only seen half an episode of this drama, so I can't answer your questions while referencing it but..

Not all autistic people dislike being touched. Those that do dislike it are probably hypersensitive to touch. Some are hyposensitive (under-sensitive) and they do like to touch and be touched, be held tightly, wear heavy clothing, etc.  Also some autistic people have difficulty judging distance and the placement and position of their own bodies. This is why they might feel other people are uncomfortably close to them, or why other autistic people might stand inappropriately close to other people.

It's not necessarily that autistic people "don't" talk about their feelings, just that it's not easy for them to do so. If the character is expressing long, deep, romantic confessions to his loved one on the spur of the moment, then yes, that's unrealistic. But many autistic people are perfectly capable of saying "I love you" or "I am angry", even if it takes them a while to get there.
Thank you :D
It was interesting to read your answer!

I think that this drama can really give hope to people, not only autistic people (to show they can fit to the social life) but also to all of the people, to give them a chance to be accepted althought we are not perfect :)
They did actually say how the father got killed. Before Chae Kyeong's boyfriend revealed to her that he was her father's killer, that's when they revealed it. Watch it carefullt :)

The main thing about autism is that, they are childlike. They take things way to slow, they learn way too slow and hard but some are able to make it through. Everything in this drama is plausible as well. I knew two autistic people who got married and have autistic children as well but they're happy.
