Anyone knows dramas or specials with ahjussi romance? The female lead and the male lead should have an obvious age difference and it shoudn't be too angst/slow :)

Old Boy... hehe just kidding.

- Prime Minister and I
- You Who Came From the Stars (Technically he's like 500 years older xD)
- Padam Padam
- Punch (I'm pretty sure he is older than the main female lead)
- My Fair Lady

I'm sure there is more but that's all I can thank of
gentlemans dignity ............... its surely ajussi drama
nine times travel ............... time travel plot makes it interesting
@Donna punch is not ajussi drama ... i think so
Hey Kristina, I haven't watched that many k-dramas but I happen to like ahjussi-romance :) I assume you are serious about "obvious age difference" and not just "he is a bit older"...

What I can tell you is this:

* Beethoven Virus: Kim Myung Min is one fine ahjussi indeed. <3 In this drama, his character is acting sooo terrible especially in the beginning but there's a very human side too and if you're open to trying to understand him, you will fall in love very soon. It is a wonderful and underrated drama. <3<3<3

* The King of Dramas: ehh, okay, KMM again in a sort of similar role actually. I think maybe some people like this one better. But it's good ahjussi romance. Even if it takes some time before they get there, you will enjoy the ride for sure.

* Valid Love: a high school student and a teacher fall in love, don't start a relationship but meet again 12 years later. So she's grown up, but he's still an ahjussi. ;) I think they're a great couple and I always rooted for them, but the drama is a little bit draggy because of side stories with supporting characters. (Disclaimer: I watch mosty j-dramas so I'm used to shorter dramas... some people may not find it draggy.)

Also, some j-dramas (even though you posted in the k-drama forum) that you may find qualify:

* Iki mo dekinai natsu: mostly subtext but I really enjoyed it!

* Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003: teacher/student, one of my favourites

* Mitsu no aji (oh, but there's angst!)

* My Rainy Days (movie)

I wish I had more to tell you! ;) This is all I know. Do you have any personal favourites that I haven't watched yet?
I see that you like Painter of the Wind... it's on my ptw-list. Do you count this one as "ahjussi-romance"? Personally, I generally prefer male leads around 40... or at least in their 30's.(With exceptions, though... but if we're talking preferences. Like, if I was watching a drama about a 20-year-old and a 27-year-old, I can see why people would call it "age gap romance" but I wouldn't be able to think of a guy that age as an ahjussi. I mean, it could still be a good drama of course...)

Also, I have to disagree about Nine Times Time travel. The drama surely is AWESOME and I love almost everything about it including the romance, but I never thought of the age gap as very important even though it is true that the girl is younger. (Disclaimer: maybe it's because I'm old enough not to think of Lee Jin Wook as an "ahjussi". If you're around 20 maybe you do. He's really hot anyway.) It is a bit angsty because of another reason than the age. I think you should watch it though!!

If Donna means Punch , the 2003 drama with Shin Min Ah and Joo Jin Mo, then  yes, it's an ahjussi romance :)

A few more:
The Spring Day of My Life
Zeni no Senso
Battle of Changsha
Medical Top Team (Oh Yeon Seo and Kwon Sang Woo)
Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu
@samsoons Yeah I meant the old one. I've only seen a few of the episodes and they seemed far apart in age.
Hotaru No Hikari
Sweet 18
Who Are You? (2008)
What's the definition of "ahjussi" anyway? Even if there's a gap of maybe 6 years between the couple in Sweet 18 (haven't watched it, just read the synopsis and looked up the actors), does this really make the guy an "older" man? When does a guy stop being an "oppa" and become an "ahjussi"?

From what I have seen of k-dramas so far, age is considered very important and a few year's age gap can be considered a big deal, but does that mean that there is an "obvious" age difference in our (the audience's) eyes? Waiting for the original poster to come back and clarify what she's asking for... Personally, I'd want the "ahjussi" to be over 40... like, actually a grown-up man, and not just "older than the female lead", unless she's really quite young like in KKK2003 which is a teacher/student story... But I don't know; maybe I'm the weird one here?
*bumps thread*

That's not all, right? There's got to be something more, right?

It doesn't have to be Korean as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't even have to be older man/younger woman imo, it can be the other way around. Romance does not have to be the main point of the drama, and they don't even have to end up together, but there has to be chemistry between the leads. I'm not the op but it seems like she hasn't been around for a while... Let's get serious!

- The older actor around 40 or older
- Age gap of 15-20 years or something like that
- The older actor is preferably not the kind of character who is insecure, has never had a partner and is like "what? who, me?!" when somebody shows any interest; s/he is mature, confident and sexy, and well aware of his/her attractiveness
Little Mom Scandal 1 and 2 has an obvious Ahjussi romance between a high school student and an older man at least 25 years older, Its not the main premise of the drama but a huge story in it.
Mr Baek has an Ahjussi romance going on there.
