High 5 Hodie!!! I still have a big smile on my face :D
Still watching this drama but I fell in love with it. Lovely storyline and I just adore Eun Ji. Different part of the world but when you watch, you can see how similiar we can be. Tonight will be more Reply 1997 fix ;)
It's awesome. I mean really. I have seen 12 episode in one night. And seen the last episode today.
Wonderful drama!! Going straight to my Top5!!
I'm feeling lonely here, is there anyone who doesn't think it's amazing? Anyone? No? *sigh* LOL!
Weeee, this was SO good and fun and perfectly cast X3 An easy fave. It's so funny how the Korean teenagers of 1997 are on the opposite side of the world from me, older than I was, two very different cultures, and yet I related so much. So much nostalgia T^T I'd completely forgotten about tamagotchis! I think I owned 2 or 3 through the course of the craze, but they all died pretty quickly >.>
Gah! I am starting this Monday! so many positive reviews and comments.

I want to add it to my top 5 dramas but it wont let me grrrrrrr

Yay unnie! High five~! I love it! 10 for me too I've watched Ep 16 3x without subs omona! I'm gonna watch it now with subs!

Its a definite 10/10. Ive always been saying how awesome it would be if I became an accountant for SM entertainment but when Siwon said it I was like the irony. I think one thing I learnt from this drama is that all fan girls are the same.

I dont really wanna spoil anything for anyone who hasnt seen the last episode so all im gonna say is I had big smile across my face all the way through and I wasnt disappointed in any way. Bring on Season 2!

I was gawking at the screen when they were singing 'Hug' and then the Rising Sun concert huwaaaa! I heart you too, writer-nim unnie! TT__TT And she's 1D2N's writer too! She's really so witty!

LOL Lis! ~~kekekeke I feel a bit regretful I watched this before TTBY...because when I started watching the latter, I kinda thought the acting in TTBY was meh.

I don't fully hate it (just some of the characters). I just don't think it deserves all the hype. But it is slightly better than the rest of the sitcoms. And LOL! This is meh for me compared with TTBY. I think it might be because I set my expectations too high because of all all the hype is creating and all kamz and RF unnie have gushed about it on FB.

Actually, it's the most underrated drama of the season. I feel TTBY is overrated--seen 3-4 eps and all they do is try to cute with each other and failing. :(

gawd finally another person who remember these things! They were such a craze back then my classmates even CRIED when the things died on them. I was like *SMH* and frowning!
RainFlower wrote: I have seen first 2 eps & its just ok for me at the moment. I am afraid I never was one of those obsessive fangirls so I dont really understand or empathise with the lead girl. I have never obsessed over someone to that extent & certainly would never dream of actually trying to meet someone famous.

I think it would also help if the viewer was familiar with the Kpop scene back in 1997 a lot of the references are over my head...

I included my post from earlier in this thread to show that I wasn't an instant fan, it grew on me to the point where now I LOVE it.....so you never know it might do the same for you Lis .....if not theres plenty more dramas on your PTW list :)

I feel the same way about TTBY ......if it didnt have all the pretty boys in it & all the gloss of a big name production company I dont think it would have done as well as it has ....I expected the Korean version's storyline to be better but sadly it isnt....TTBY is just ok for me. (this is after watching 12 episodes of TTBY)

I don't think it's underrated at all. For me, it's not a great drama, it's just average. Slightly better than the rest of the sitcoms I've attempted to watch, but that's all.

Yeah, must be so for you :) I don't get why they categorized it as a sitcom either--for me it's a drama.

Aw~~after 12 eps...:( I felt that at the third episode and was thinking where they were going with the story. I was looking for the Korean feel of a high school--the atmosphere like Reply 1997's--which felt like it was real.

The first few episodes where they showed Shi Won as a hard-headed fangirl--I couldn't appreciate those either! (I really wondered if girls in Korea were like that!) Oh but lawdie when they sang DBSK! T_T *nods* Arasseo!

I forgot about tamagotchi :) Yeah, nostalgia, how old I am now XD
Congrats to Reply 1997 getting to #1 spot (for now lol) in MDL's top rated drama list ... woohoo!!!!!!!! :D
