Love that OST

I wasn't talking about Suzy here, this was more like a general opinion.
I already said that I like her acting when it comes to sweet and comical scenes, but that I don't find that her character fit her current state of maturity as an actress.
She is only 18 ans is still a bit shallow in her acting. No doubt that with time and experience, she will improve considerably. Yeo Wol is a lovable character, and Suzy bring smiles and cheerfulness and freshness into this drama and that's a very good thing.
But in more serious scene I feel that Suzy is having a hard time bringing the emotion and intensity Yeo Wol's character is supposed to have sometimes.
When she learns that her father is responsible for the death of Kang Chi's father, she was supposed to be first angry and then shocked, to eventually burst into tears in Kang Chi's arms. The anger part was shallow and messy, the shock part was good ( I really liked that part) but the crying part felt forced and a bit fake.
Another scene that needed more intensity was the fight in her father office. She is
forcefully engaged to a man she doesn't love and
accuse her father of the murder of Kang Chi's father, saying he doesn't want them to be together because of his own guit. She actually have a line where
she say to his father that she will never marry someone else than Kang Chi. Obviously in the original script we were going for a pretty intense discussion. And what did we get ? A fight between a father and a bratty teenage girl with a frozen face. And in the end - because we have to understand how sad she is - she collapses on the floor. The lack of emotions in her acting during the fight made that last move completely ridiculous.
All the sweet and comical scenes are interesting because this is what she is good at, but that is when the serious scenes arrive that we see how lacking she can be.
However I like the chemistry between her character and Kang Chi, although I think it must have something to do with acting alongside with an actor as talented as Lee Seung Gi.
That's all for my current opinion of Suzy's acting. But the drama isn't over, I really hope she will have me change my mind.
