I am not sure if a second season would be a good idea for this drama but if Wul Ryung comes back then it's worth it :D
I'd definitely watch that if it had more Wol Ryung. But overall so much wasted amazing potential, had me seriously hooked at the start then idk what happened... I just feel kind of cheated. I love it & hate it all at the same time. :(

Yup, same feelings. It could have been much better than this...
it was a fun watch but imo "what happened" was the cluttered plot, they didnt get a chance to focus on anything.

xactly why i love it too creative and unpredictable

ahah it does feel like another drama starting up

i doubt there would be a 2nd season but i'll watch it for wul Ryung too! LOL
Spoiler in white; (WARNING DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE WATCHED THE LAST EPISODE)

... Where do I even begin. This drama was magical (pun intended) since the very first episode. I have a really short attention span so I usually get bored in the middle of dramas, ESPECIALLY when they're historical and have political mumbo jumbo going on. Thankfully, this wasn't the case for Gu Family Book. It had a good blend of everything. I was extremely happy to see that the fantasy part of it wasn't super overdone. It was obviously a big theme, but it wasn't something cheesy that took away from the drama, it was ... perfect. I will forever cherish this drama. The actors and producers did an AMAZING job. I was hesitant as I haven't really seen Suzy in anything before, but I think she did a wonderful job, as did Seung Gi (OBVIOUSLY) and the supporting cast. The bad guy was SO GOOD at being bad. 10/10 performance.

The only thing I have to complain about is the ending. I know some people loved it and some people hated it. I just finished the episode literally 5 minutes ago, and I don't know what to say. The ending was so messed up. Actually, the whole last episode was messed up. Although the whole drama had its emotional rollercoasters, the last episode killed me.
I really don't agree with the way they killed Yeo Wool. WHY.WHY.WHY. I actually had to stop watching because I wouldn't stop crying. I was about to give up and not finish it, which is something I RARELY do. I knew 100% that they were going to do that future crapola. I just knew it. I agree with the people who say it's "creative". Sure, for a mediocre drama it would have been CREATIVE, and COOL, or maybe even WELL THOUGHT OUT, but THIS WAS NOT SOME MEDIOCRE DRAMA; this is GU FAMILY BOOK. It didn't do the drama justice at all.

The main problem I have with the whole reincarnation thing is that it's not the same Yeo Wool. It's not the same situation. Not the same beginning for them. She doesn't remember all that they went through. She doesn't remember the love that they once shared. Sure, she can fall in love with him again, but will it be the same?? I THINK NOT.

Ufff. I don't even know. I am having a really hard time writing something that makes sense, but who can blame me, the ending of that was pretty nonsensical. It was, how do you say, disappointing and poopie.
I would have given the drama 10/10 but the ending killed it for me.

END OF RANT.
About the 2nd season thing, I didn't really get that vibe.
I just think they did a horrible job of ending it.
A cheesy, thoughtless and obvious ending for a drama that was known for being creative, fresh and different.

SIGH....
I am so disappointed.

AND TO THE WRITERS I SAY:
Well, this drama was very disappointing and that's putting it nicely. It had so much promise at the beginning, but then it just kept tumbling and tumbling until that ending..... *facepalms* A very typical ending when writers just want to squeeze in a "happy ending" where it doesn't belong. But I guess it wasn't all bad. It had an interesting starting point, Wol Ryung and Seo Hwa, a good OST, and one of the best villains ever. His last lines squeezed my heart more than everything else which happened in the last episode, and I mean everything. I was so darned bored and exasperated until that moment. If there is a second season, which would honestly be a waste, I would only watch if Wol Ryung is a part of it. A big part of it.
Don't you like Gon's "future" look better?

LOL he should do a second season with Wul Ryung; that's the only way I would watch that second season (if it happens of course).

Same here.

I agree, the only way I would watch it is if the parents return and Yeo Wool SOMEHOW regains all of her memories of Kang Chi & Past life.
The last episode ruined it for me! The first part of the episode made me cry SO MUCH! As much as I thought it was cruel to have such an ending for Yeo Wool, I still thought it wasn't so bad if they end it that way HOWEVER The second part, I don't understand how people think it's creative or unpredictable, when it's the first thing you'd guess when they said "I'll meet you again". I was hoping that it'd be in a later time and era, but not that far! I mean, for me, it totally killed the whole beautiful ancient Korea mood! And how they met again under the crescent and cherry blossom tree...SERIOUSLY? I'm really disappointed. It was just...weird. Though, I don't regret watching it at all and I loved the other 23 episode! (If there's a second season, even though I don't think there will be, I'd still watch it because I'm curious =w=)
I gave it a 6; it went astray at some points. And I am okay without a second season and if there's one I am not going to watch it.
