Account Followers

Hi,

I would love anyone to coherently answer me what does "Followers" of my account exactly mean and what to "Follow" someone on MDL actually entails.

When I look at my Profile, there is my Avatar, there is my List, some of Details, in short some stuff I am able to comprehend, I would love to say it about everything about my account, but it's not the case, sadly.

For example, it says:

0 Following, 6 Followers, 34 Points

I understand nothing of that, to be honest. I guess I am not "following" anyone as I don't even know how to do that. The 6 Followers, is the biggest mystery I guess, that's why I named the Topic of this thread that. But it's nowhere all that I am completely lost about on MDL, to say honestly. Are those "followers" something like "Friends"? Because I never accepted any "Friend Request" so far as I am aware. Next question, what exactly do these people "follow"? My activity? Do they get notified about my List Updates? Do they see my "Feeds"? I remember I had to ask on a Forum before, to even know how those work. Apparently my Feeds like about my List Updates - like I watched episode xy/out of xy, I wrote a Review etc. - which I made with share on MDL checked, never appeared to anyone else but me and my "Friends" , but I don't use that MDL feature. So those only were visible to me, which kinda had no point . So I had to manually write those to be seen Publicly, and then those finally appeared on my "Feeds"

but I have to do that manually because the "share on MDL" is somehow set in stone to "Friends" only, which 1) is unknown to me unless I search for an information on this forum 2) and I can't change that.  MDL apparently offers many features but no actual information as to how those work.  Other example, I had to manually ad link to my "Badges" as that is also not offered. Neither that, nor what those do mean. Somehow typical for MDL, sadly...

When we're at it, I also don't know what I got my "34 Points" for and what those are good for.

means. How it's different from the 34 Points listed above.

I would love to not bother on the Forum but there is no Guide how to use this site.

So, is someone visitin this Forum willing to tell me how it looks from the other side, from those "6 Followers" point of view? How did they become my Followers? What do they get to see about me?

MDL has weird stance in this. Supposed to be like 6th version of this site already, and still no proper Guide where these things would be. How am I know all this on my own?

I still don't understand the Followers, to be honest. Can you try following me and tell me what you see? Because my Feeds, I have to add those manually. It sadly doent't work that when I update which episode I have watched from a drama, with MDL share checked, appear on my Feeds for anyone except me (and Friends, which I don't have). So, the moment I delete these manual feeds, my "Followers" will se NOTHING? Why do they keep following me? I'm going to delete now. Tell me what do you get from "Following" me. It doesn't need to be today. But I would really love to know. LOL

as self-centred a person as I am, my MDL bookmark is my profile. So, whenever I posted anything, I posted it from my profile/feeds. And I have no idea whether that appears on "Home" or wherever. Like I said there is no GUIDE. Thank you for clarifying that the MDL share button works for people who are your Friends AND Followers. So I guess that's the only thing those got from me. Because, for a time, I tried to click the share MDL button while making a change on a drama page like episode watched, dropped, completed. I always assumed it will appear on my Feeds for everyone to see, because ony my feeds, it said "Public". Then one day I finally discovered that was not the case when I saw my profile/feeds while NOT LOGGED. I was completely blank. Then I had to ask on a forum and got those explanations you mentioned now. Again, there should be in some kind of a guide. Then, for a while I experimented with writing manually the same, like

because I had to do that to make that finally stick in my Feeds for EVERYONE.  I did write these, again, from the profile/feeds. (By the way, each post I made there, it had a side menu, like, Share link, which shows you the link, just Share - don't know what does that do, Autoplay, Autoplay OFF - don't know what that does. It's just like that with everything, on MDL. No guidance. No information.) Why isn't there the option to make this automatic right from the drama page where I am clicking the episode update, if I want my Feeds public, is another MDL mystery.  The MDL share button is set in stone just for Friends/Followers, which you don't know and can't change. It's already an extra click from me for it to be available on Feeds. Then I find out that it won't be seen on Feeds anyways (except Friends/Followers, which frankly does not count for me, those are just few individuals). Why should I bother, then? Conclusion, I won't click the button, and Followers see nothing. Good luck with following me. 

I must wish myself good luck, too. Because there really isn't any information to find, about how things works. Do I have to start Forum thread every time?
