By now, you should have noticed that most Korean dramas have the scenario where there are two guys and a girl. One of the guy's a douche and the other one is a sweetheart and WE ALL know how this ALWAYS ends up. Don't get me wrong some of these dramas have good plots and all but this is a recurrent plot that will soon become "Yeah, I know how this will end," and it's just episode 2. I get they are trying to target a certain group to get high ratings and all but portraying the same thing always is a bit...too much, I guess. It's not like I don't like it, I love them especially when the boys are hot(whis is 98.7% of the reason I watch it when I know how it ends). So, talking about remakes, there are list of good dramas that I think Korean directors should consider. DEATH NOTE!? It's a surprise to me that there hasn't been a Korean remake of Death Note because it's Death Note plus I know it will be awesome(with the right actors of course). Kim Bum would make a good L(and a sexy one at that), that's my opinion of course. **I recently watched psycho-metry and Kim Bum was...just...amazing. Other good remakes would be fruits basket, skip beat, etc. There are a lot of good dramas out there to remake. Yeah, there was a Taiwanese version of Skip Beat with Siwon and Donghae and it was good, I guess. I haven't watched it, it's just what I heard so I can't fully judge it. So, what do you think? Is the 'ending up with douchebag' plot too much? Should good remakes be considered? Again, this is just my opinion.
sounds good! how do we let the kdrama writers know? :)
maybe via the korean section on MDL
Boys Over Flowers American Remake “to Air in Late 2013″ on Roku

An American remake of the hit Korean drama Boys Over Flowers is the focus of a new Kickstarter campaign launched by Wazego Collective:

Speaking of Koreans and remakes, I wonder why they never remade the taiwanese drama Autumn's Concerto? It has a lot of tropes used in other kdramas. I don't know how I would feel if they actually did it, but maybe it would appeal to a big audience there?
