Nirvana in Fire.
The first arc made me totally forget on my drama slump. By mid part I was so in love with Mei Changsu, greatness became synonymous with Hu Ge.
The plot was just so darn epic and awesome and brilliant. All characters were so compelling even the villains. The villains were soooo good to watch. No one was out of place or out of tune or overdramatic or not acting enough. The music made my skin crawl with excitement. It was like a perfect ensemble orchestra lead by a virtuoso soloist and the conductor was a master genius.
I straight up marathoned all 54 episodes . I did try to sleep but my curiosity on what happened next just straight up woke me after 2 hours. Thank goodness I started watching it friday, cause if it were the a weekend, I'd probably request for sick leave.
