Well, if we delve deeper into this - all the way to the origins of the name - we can note that Rachel is a biblical name. And looking up the bible in Korean, it really does mention 라헬 as Rachel. So in etymological way, Rahel/라헬 is Rachel - just a variant, like said.

So I suppose the bottom line is that if 라헬 is translated to Rachel, we're translating the meaning and disregarding the pronunciation.
I am excited for how Woo Bin's character is progressing in episode 13.
no, you are not only one who dislike this drama...it´s hell boring
Now that I think about it... Kim Woo Bin: White Christmas: High school student and a bully. A Gentleman's Dignity: High school student and a bully. School 2013 - High school student and probably a bully (I didn't watch this so I'm just assuming). Heirs: High school student and a bully. Didn't watch anything else with him, he might play more high school student/bully in other dramas that I don't know of. It's only natural that he does a good job in his role considering it's at the very least the 3rd time he's taking it.

So true - but to be fair, imho, he was already a great bully in White Christmas. Definitely had that crazy wibe and all going on there.

I'd love to see him 'graduate' to other roles too (I should watch Friend 2. He's playing an ex-con/gangster in that, I think? Well, so, um, not that different from bully but... maybe.). No wonder he gets cast to these roles but career wise... You can't be a high school student forever (especially if you're Lee Min Ho. Nope. Not buying it. He's not exactly a baby face either.).

It's full of great (Kang Ha Neul, Choi Young Do, Rachel Yoo...) or loveable (Jo Myung Soo,Lee Bo Na... ) charachters. (It's true, that there are also annoying ones and it's not unwittig that the main charachters are missing from above.) But the ones that I love give me so much with their personality that I can only love this drama.
And honestly, tell me only one drama without cliches. But it's okay because we love them whit them.
So please, don't make negativ comments like "I will definitly not watch this overrated drama and give me a high five for that" or something like this, because it doesn't result in anything good, just mess up my mood. Of course, I didn't mean that you shouldn't say if something is wrong in the drama. It's absolutely another thing.

I think everyone has freedom to express their feelings and thoughts about what they have watched. Some people like it, some people dont and we all have reasons. Another person cant control that. We just have to respect other opinions even though they are different with ours or give negative comments. If you think this drama is good just tell, if not you can tell as well, It's not something harmful to express your thoughts about this drama. We need to keep an open mind.

If you feel the comments just mess up your mood, you don't have to read those comments. You can't control others opinion but you can control your own decision to read or not. It's just like that, people will keep ranting what they dont like or what they like.
I'm having kind of a love-hate relationship with Heirs. There are times, specially a scene with Choi Young Do in it,where I hate it, and there are other times, like the ending of episode 14 where I love it. I was really ready to drop this drama halfway through episode 14, but then everything changed for me! I think episode 14 was a huge breakthrough for all our main characters! Cha Eun Sang finally starts trusting Tan and is able to communicate her feelings clearly for the first time in the drama, Kim Tan also starts trusting Eun Sang and protects her by supporting her, not by controlling her, Choi Young Do finally got rid of his permanent smirk and we see him actually grow a lot this episode. He accepts that he regrets his fight with Tan, that it was his fault but he can't accept it. We also see him realizing how Tan is right, how he never has taken any chances. We also see if not his feelings,at least his attitud towards Cha Eun Sang. He starts letting go of her, and I actually love their friendly relationship. I can honestly say that this episode was the first time that Young Do swept me off my feet, almost making me choose him over Tan. and Rachel (Ra Hel, whatever), weeeell, I'd almost say she's a lost cause, she's mean and evil spirited, she wants to make Eun Sang suffer and she's obsessed with Tan, BUT she now accepts that is her own fault, that Tan never did anything to lead her on.

Another thing that I really loved about the latter half of this episode (everything happened there, seriously, the first 30 minutes had me fuming) is that we also see a progress with Tan and Won's relationship, how Won is slowly starting to accept Tan, even while in a war with their father.
Other relationship that I would like to see more of is the one of Eun Sang with Tan's mom. I just find them so funny together, and they actually have a really great chemistry as mother-daughter.
Overall, I think that after a lot of really mediocre episodes, where the characters made me want to rip my eyes out, Heirs has finally picked up for me. In this episode we saw character growth and Eun Sang and Tan behaving like a real couple for a change. I can't wait for next week, to see how everything goes.
Does anyone know the song that is played at episode 14 ending, the forehead kiss scene. THank you
Here ya go :)

I'm so sick of Tan and his selfish self. Also, was Lee Min Ho always such a terrible actor? I was never a hardcore fan, but I used to like him enough to fangirl here and there sometimes. Especially when he did what I used to think was a great "love gaze". Now I keep thinking "Was he always this bad?" I can't wait for this drama to end. Why did I even start it? I knew it would be a waste of time. Well... not all of it, at least Kim Woo Bin is great in it.

Hes never been a Gong Yoo caliber actor. Even in the roles I have totally enjoyed (City Hunter and Faith) there has always been room for improvement. But he is miscast here and that, in combination with cliche writing, doesn't really do him any favors. I will probably end up sticking it out but I will be watching for those awesome moms and The Woo. <3

I agree. He was miscast. I'll finish it too, I've already wasted all this time might as well finish it.... =D
SOOO happy Cha whatshername slapped the neck out of Rachel...air punch*
My sister is stricken with second lead syndrome, i knew once Won Bin was cast that i was not gonna like that fact that he DOESN'T get the girl..again. When will he get a lead roll or a roll where he is rejected/dumped? I was too mad at this drama for going no where for so long but i think a lot has happened in the last two episodes to make me want to watch more. I think Lee Minho was amazing in City Hunter but lacked a lot in Faith...I think Heirs is one of his better roles, but even if you think his acting in this is bad i'd chalk it up to the writing and not his acting.

I also believe he dropped his level by choosing this role and this drama in general; I would've loved him more if he continued with serious roles. It's a waste really because he could've improved his acting skills.

Me too LOL!
i dont know if i can finish it. i started to watch the latest eps today and decided i needed to do the dishes instead. does not bode well. but i soooooo wanna watch kim woo bin. he needs a leading man role like yesterday. also i think this drama was a COMPLETE waste of Choi Jin Hyuk's time. he had so much momentum after gu family book, i really thought he could have gotten anything.
