I didn't say that it's a masterpiece, but it's enjoyable, that's why I don't say it's sh*t, when there are incomprehensible actions or cliches. It's full of great (Kang Ha Neul, Choi Young Do, Rachel Yoo...) or loveable (Jo Myung Soo,Lee Bo Na... ) charachters. (It's true, that there are also annoying ones and it's not unwittig that the main charachters are missing from above.) But the ones that I love give me so much with their personality that I can only love this drama. And honestly, tell me only one drama without cliches. But it's okay because we love them whit them. So please, don't make negativ comments like "I will definitly not watch this overrated drama and give me a high five for that" or something like this, because it doesn't result in anything good, just mess up my mood. Of course, I didn't mean that you shouldn't say if something is wrong in the drama. It's absolutely another thing.

I think Eun Sang should be given some slack on how she reacts to Tan's feels. Looking from her past she lost her father to cancer, they have a debt in hospital bill, and her mother is a disabled housemaid. So from here, she has worked in several part-time jobs (while her sister is overseas procrastinating) to pay the bills. Also through it all, she hardly has time for a relationship or even experiencing some amazing event in her life until now.

The writer/director is really trying to show how scared she is of the possible Cinderella stereotype reality. I believe she wants to reach out and embrace Kim Tan's love and hardships, but every-time she does something comes along to shack her decision. The only problem I have with her is she needs to make a decision quickly, and fight her reality. Maybe that's what this drama is about. Fighting the obstacles of reality like your parents future plans for your life.

What do you think?

i agree with this.
in reality if you are in that situation and you have all that drama around you, you question every decision that you are supposed to make.
the writer is just showing us a girl who doesn't want to make the wrong decision because she doesn't want to be stuck in the life she is already living.

to me the fact that he would ***risk her well being so he could hook up with some chick who isnt even very receptive*** is not made less awful by any of her mideeds. whether you agree with the family dynamic or not, even if you think she's a nasty home wrecking skank, she's still his mom, his mom who her professes to care about a great deal and who has done her best by him. she didnt deserve to get thrown under the bus.
When you see how he treat his fiancée and even his own mother, why on earth would anyone want to engage in a life-long relationship with Kim Tan ? He obviously has no loyalty, nor do he have any sort of respect for other people's feeling whatsoever...

I actually think what he did for his mother was pretty nice.

I still don't see how the other guy is any better.

Yeah Tan was being nice to his mother! :)
However, all that scene gave a feeling that he was selfish in doing this (may b he z planning sth considering YS ) but not exactly for the sake of his mother.. somehow i was left with that feeling
he didnt do it for his mom, he did it for himself so he could date Eun Sang. that's why he chose to do it at that moment in his life and in front of rachel and her mom. maybe some part of him thought "two birds with one stone!" but the idea that what he did is some how nice or sweet is very childish...maybe innocent is a nicer way to put it. she may have had some difficulties in her life, but we all have them and she chose hers. as i posted previously chosing to reveal the secret at this moment hurts so many people he loves, something that would be obvious to just about anyone who gave it a moment's thought. if he really thought this was going to turn out well for anyone but him or that anyone was going to be pleased with him for doing it that suggests an extreme immaturity, a personality disorder or both. also some one asked what makes Young Do better. for me it's b/c he actually has a personality. my user name is cityhunter, i am obviously a fan of LMH. i dont know if Lee Min Ho is dropping the ball, if the character is poorly written, if he isnt getting good direction, if it's a combination of the 3 or maybe he's always been this bad and i just never noticed before but when you combine Tan's childish antics with very flat performance LMH is giving it makes him undesirable. i also feel like Young do is changing and growing as a character, mostly for the better, where as Tan is simply escalating. i really like this drama, i just wish they had combined the characters of Young Do and Kim Tan and had kim woo bin play do it. completely out of left feild, why are we calling Rachel Rachel? her name is Rye-something (sounds like Rye Elle) korean people can obviously make the "ch" sound so it's not like they are even mispronouncing Rachel they are calling her something else entirely.

I already dropped this drama once in ep 3, but I'm now picking it back up for all the wrong reasons (Heechul doing cameo! Woo Bin! Kim Mi Kyung!) ... But I plan to shamelessly skip everything involving only Lee Min Ho and/or Park Shin Hye. So much for the plot then but, er, can't really say I'd care for it all that much.

DiaNine wrote: Can't tell if her name is 라핼 or 라헬, so it's either Ra Hael or Ra Hel. Looks more like 라헬 though, so it would be Ra Hel. There's no reason for it to be translated as "Rachel" since they could just say 라첼 and i would literally be Rachel.

It says 라헬, which seems to be one variant of spellings for Rachel (also Rahel is actually a variant of Rachel). And sure, romanization-wise 라첼 would be better but pronunciation would still be wrong... 레이첼, on the other hand, has that extra character so I suppose that makes it a bit unattractive choice too. Can't win on this one. ^^''
seems to me that it doesnt matter if the actual name is a variant of Rachel, it's still not rachel. that would be like calling some one named Juan John.
I have to agree there is no way that I could stop watching usually if I'm watching something with a cast I really like I take a small break from it and watch later but not with this I have to watch it as soo an it come out and again as soon as its subbed.Love Love love love love love love love love love love love love love all the cute guys in this drama especially LMH(aka Kim Tan)and KMH(aka Chan Young)And doesn't evey one just love Krystal's English hers is some of the best English I have heard in the whole drama.
