I've watched the first two episodes and the drama shows promise. The first few minutes of the first episode were a bit much (in the sense that it didn't make logical sense haha) but it quickly gained its footing and I was able to get past it. Kwon Sang Woo has always been a questionable actor for me but I am able to block that out so far.
It does sound interesting with Kwon Sang Woo as the main lead but I am afraid that I can't watch any medical drama no matter how intriguing they seem to be.
Finally caught up to episode 4. KSW finally had his obligatory ab shot! I thought it was required in his contracts to expose his abs within 30 minutes of appearing onscreen?! hahahaha Anyhow....his acting will be the challenge for me. I've never seen him able to successfully carry emotions onscreen. * we get a glimpse into his back story in episode 4 and I laughed when I should have felt concern for him. I don't know if it was him or the writing * but I hope he can pull this off.
With all medical dramas, there's always that hospital political conflict like a sageuk where one side favors the king and the other wants him overthrown but so far, this fits well and doesn't deter you from the main characters and their story. We'll see where this goes from here.
At first I wanted to watch this drama not very much. But now I'm happy I've started to watch it. Really interesting
And I hope guy will alive, so I'm waiting for episode 5!
For now the plot seems reather nice even without have love in it.After Good Doctor i started taking a liking to dramas where they concentrate on healing people(if its medical) yet faintly can evolve the characters feeling and the backround love stories.Hope it'll be something like this,in the sence of backround stories
I can't understand why medical dramas for the most part have to be about a genius doctor with an awkward attitude. I mean really? Is that all a good doctor can be? I want to watch something about a doctor who is not a genius, but is good at what he does because he has worked really hard to get there. Like in the drama New Heart.
To start, doctors who are great at what they do are smarter than most people because medicine is not an easy field and it requires lots of studying and discipline. It goes without saying that the doctor is a smart person.
What I want to watch is not how smart this doctor is, but the process of getting there or the every day interactions with his patients. If he is innovative in medicine, or if he isn't. If he is a genius doctor then is a given he will know everything. Bring me someone who needs to continue learning so that I can see his struggles.
Yet I will give this drama a try because two of my favorite actors are in it. Hope they end together although is highly improbably as the lead is Sang Woo.
