LOL, this thread turned into a Greatest Love Advertisement Agency. You are all doing a great job at it, I may add, because I decided to move the drama from the dropped-list to the on-hold one (it's the best I can do right now ;) ).

Of course, if faced with the recurring dilemma "What do I watch now?", this won't be the first to come to my mind out of the 47 dramas and just as much movies I plan to see. But, hey, I could be hit by a brick on my way home and fall in love with Cha... Chae... er... etc.
;);)

I had tried to watch it twice before I decided to give up on it and add it to my dropped list. Until flo convinced me to give it another try. Like Rain said I also had "the unexplainable & irrational dislike of Cha Seung Won", especially the character. By the end of the drama, he was my favorite character...lol

So, I see that brick hit you, after all.
Be more careful when you walk back home... ;);)

LOL amrita thats hilarious I cant tell u how vehmently I was opposed to CSW until I gave the show a chance or as u put it so eloquently let the brick fall on my head haha I still dont fancy/love CSW he is still not my cup of tea BUT his character in TGL was wonderfully quirky & flawed that he is just so watchable !
Jajajajaja. I did let that brick fall on me while I was staring at it coming down towards me.

There's just something about that character and the way he played it...lol And I even hated him at the beginning, I would mutter all sorts of Spanish curses towards him. lol

I'm still not crazy about the Hong Sisters. They did, after all, wrote "My Girl" and "My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho"...
I believe the only two Hong Sister Dramas that i've seen are My Girl and You're Beautiful. And...I've loved both of them a LOT. They may not be perfect, but they were able to make me laugh some serious laughter. If it wasn't for My Girl, I probably wouldn't even be into Kdrama now.

I liked "My Girl" probably cos it was my 3rd Kdrama so everything was shiny & new back then lol
But unfortunately "My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho" is the only Kdrama so far that i hv dropped.
Also Hong Gil Dong I watched 10 mins & left it to come back later (much later lol)
Yes, let's go back to the sisters, shall we? After all, it's a little unfair to keep on telling me how great the drama I didn't see is.
It sound so much like: "oh, you don't like pistachio ice-cream? Well, that's because you've never eaten the one they make in... Toronto, at 15st BlaBla Avenue..." :p ;)

Ops... some new input while I was writing...

@Skye: this is possibly my... nth problem with their dramas: they don't make me laugh out loud. I smile, a couple of times I giggle, but that's the extent. I loved My Girl because of the way the two main actors interacted with each other. I thought they had great chemistry and never hoped for her to end up with the second, nice guy. And, just like RF, it was my... second, if not the first Korean drama I ever watched. I have never gone back to it for fear of finding it a little dull now: like this, I keep the good memory of it.

As for YaB, the only scene which made me laugh was the spitting one.
I laughed more at some Ajusshi's lines in City Hunter - and that was by far not a funny drama.
So I guess humour is a truly hard wall to climb, because it varies enormously from one person to the next.

I tried the first episode of The Greatest Love because everybody was saying how much they laughed. I even watched clips of later episodes posted to show a particularly hilarious scene. And my reaction was a raised eyebrow. :S
Uh? Why is the thread suddenly locked? Is it illegal to criticize the Hong sisters? O_o
Magic!!!
:D

Skye!!!!!!! Did you lock me... AGAIN???????? Hahahahahahahahaha.
I'm planning revenge... ò_ò
God damnit, sorry about that amrita. It's cause of this damn "close this thread" after you post button that I keep on accidentally pressing.
And back to My Girl. This drama is one of the few that actually made me giggle out loud. And I was so emotionally intuned with the character that I felt sad when they felt sad, laughed out loud at their jokes(calling Lee Jun Ki "sister" at the sauna :D) and so much more. I have nothing but praise for My Girl. And she's mine! So hands off her!
Haha Skye I thought you had closed it deliberately cos u cldnt bear anyone criticising your beloved "My Girl" :p

You can have it all for yourself...Is there a petition to remove it from the web so it can be only for your eyes? I'll gladly sign it. :P

:D I'm sure you didn't like it because it was just too mind blowing for you :D
Nah, one thing I have noticed is that a person's first kdrama is always either really crappy or really great.
BTW Skye I hv been meaning to ask u what drama is ur avatar from?

& I personally think we all look at our first drama through rose tinted glasses & are less forgiving the more dramas we see...
