A friend told me about a movie and couldn't remember its name so I have come to you.
ML hands out flyers as income and to find places to squat in. While squatting he fixes things and then moves on. One house he makes a mistake and meets the FL who needs rescuing. I think her husband is an abusive so-and-so, so he takes her away from there and they continue as he has been doing: handing out flyers and squatting. They find one place and it turns out an old lady had just died. They dress the body, send it off for burial and because everyone is so grateful they let them live in that apartment/house/dwelling.
I hope that is sufficient information and rings enough of a bell with someone to come up with the title.
