[Discussion] Shut Up: Flower Boy Band

considering that it's supposed to be in the same "series" as flower boy ramyun shop i am surprised at how completely different this is shaping up to be. FBRS was all twinkles and cuteness and very light on the character development and plot. Shut up is gritty and realistic. the city i spent my teen years in had a pretty active local music sceen and the guys from eye candy remind me so much of the guys i spent H.S rocking out with. that's when any story grabs me, when i realize that a character reminds me of a real person. Byung Hee needed his own freaking show. Lee Min Ki did things with that characters in 2 episodes that some actors fail to do in 60.

Wow! I love this drama so far. Yes, the final of the second chapter was so unexpected for me too (and more unexpected for kdramas in general). I love musical movies / dramas and Dream High was great, so, althought I did'nt like another ones as The Musical, I am Legend or Mary Stayed Out All Night (I liked What's Up at first but now is decreasing its interest)), I thought I will give it a try. It reminds me kind of to Boys Over Flower on the boys-forever-friends plot. (Although in this case is the other way around: poor guys-rich girl) Great actors and ost until now. Maybe another. Do you know if the story is from some manga?

I'm watching ep. 3 and they just repeated the ending of the previous episode....I had goosebumps again... These episodes are too short..lol

I just finished ep 3 and can't wait for ep 4 to be subbed..

Yah, I think the character development will be worth it... This one toes that line of drop or watch.. Parts are exciting and awesome, other's not so great, if they find the balance, it will be well worth it.. And if there turns out to be more music than is in it now it would be awesome.. I think I am a music drama junkie, I love music and having that theme in drama's is awesome! I think the only one that I know about that I haven't watched, nor will I is 'Musical'

OK thanks i will for sure give it another chance. i really hope this is a good one. i also really hope they have more music i love music dramas as well.
