yea..remakes don't sound too appealing..although i'm yet to watch ZK lol..(it's been there on my list for a while now lol)

I know you boo-hoo'ed a little. Plus, I'm not so sure about the cast...lol I'm not adding it yet.

Yeah, two movie remakes I've watched recently kinda failed. lol

i wasnt a huge fan of the japanese version. it had a good concept but then just fell completely on it's face. did we really have to spend so much time in the office? and if it's a show about a robot, can we actually have a show about a robot? the pacing was also terrible, nothing happened, nothing happened, nothing happened and then in they tried to cram everything into the last two epsiodes, and it still wasnt that interesting. if the korean version addresses these issues it stands a ok chance of being watchable.

I think they will improve the pacing.. I have this on my to watch list. Not a huge fan of Tops but still am happy with him getting the roll. Hopefully he can do great with this oppertunity to blossom as an actor and put a great spin on the charecter.

Ugh, not another remake...

If TOP is going to be Night, I am curious to see how they'll handle the naked shots because I heard the guy's bare chest has never been seen unlike the other members of BIGBANG.

I don't think Kim Ni Eul is fitted for the role either. She looks a bit old to me... and I wasn't convinced by her acting in Your'e My Pet.

Me, will do the same. I`m no T.O.P fan and won´t be one. I watched the Jversion as an rookies-drama-fan.

We should do that all, but some drama remakes are really good like Ikemen Desu Ne.

To everyone who doesn't know - the original manga dealt with a high school girl. I remember when I read it I liked it (Yuu Watase is my favorite manga-ka), so I remember I started Zettai Kareshi but was disappointed in the fact that they made her older (2O's? don't remember). I plan to give it another go because of the mixed reviews I've heard on it. This version I'm a bit curious about, but the fact that she's 3O is telling me it's even farther off from the manga (doesn't surprise me, just makes me think they find it more odd to have a high schooler have a robot boyfriend). Couldn't they make her in college at least? I want to give this a try but dunno how I'll like it

Just as a random info:

The first time I saw a movie with the theme perfect girlfriend was in a turkish movie made in 1989 or sth like that.
I´ll put a youtube link for the first part of the movie. You won`t understand it, but its a really funny movie.

The movie is about a man who falls in love with a singer. By chance he meets a japanese and that man asks him for his adress.
Later the main lead gets a package from Japan and see what is inside: A robot that looks exactly like that famous singer.

Hmmmmm I remain unconvinced. I join with everyone else expressing reservations on the number of remakes we seem to be getting at the min. I actually quite enjoyed ZK, it was one of my first Jdramas, and actually thought it was a bit better making the leads older (the manga I found frustrating). But, 30? Hmmm. Not seen either of the two leads before, but can't say I'm in a desperate hurry to watch this as soon as it airs - might wait and see what the buzz is like.

I don't think TOP is in this because I've read articles stating that he turned down roles in "Love Rain" and "Absolute Boyfriend" to be in a drama called "Celebrity."

That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the 1st post. I'm not so sure about this. Although, I do like Kim Haneul. Why did you Boo hoo PD? PM me if it's too spoilery

I can't quote all the remake sentiments...but I haven't seen the original one so I don't really have an opinion on that...just this: I think I might actually watch the Jdrama version before I watch this.
