I'm not too in love with that floppy piece of hair, but if it was shorter I'd like it more. But I like it more than the previous look.
I got goosey bumps when that car hit him....LOL

F.T. Island has returned to the music scene once again with a brand new mini-album titled ‘Grown Up‘!
The boys made their way to the stage of MBC’s ‘Music Core‘ where they held their third comeback stage for their title track “Severely“, impressing fans as they always have been.
Be sure to check out F.T. Island’s heart-felt performance below!
Korean rock band FT Island‘s new album which dropped on January 31st has completely sold out just 10 days after it’s release.
50,000 copies of the band’s fourth mini-album ‘Grown Up‘ was initially produced, and every last copy has been sold as of February 9th.
‘Grown Up’ secured the #1 slot on Hanteo‘s total album sales chart, and has maintained the top spot on weekly their weekly music chart until recently falling to #2.
Their title song has also achieved an all-kill on various online music charts such as Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, and more.
This album is one in which FT Island wanted to prove how much they’ve matured and ‘Grown Up’ as musicians and have purposely filled it with only slow-tempoed ballad songs.
The band also won a #1 K-Chart win on Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘ on February 9th, only a week after making their comeback.
Their agency FNC Entertainment stated, “[I]We filled the album with ballad songs to show a change in musical style, and the response is even better than we expected. The supply in the retail stores which were ordered before the release have mostly sold out, and we are currently working on additional production to meet the demand.”
On February 28th, FT Island’s Lee Hongki made an appearance on the KBS quiz show, “1 vs. 100,” as a contestant where he went against 100 other people for a chance to win 50 million won (approx. $50,000 USD). Unlike what most people expected, Lee Hongki displayed surprisingly good knowledge of the questions asked, and with a little bit of luck, was able to advance all the way to the 8th round, or the second to last question.
In the 5th round, after he got the answer right, Lee Hongki screamed in excitement, “[I]This is totally unexpected,” as 49 other players were eliminated. “And I feel like I’m some kind of a great guy,” he added. As he cruised through the 6th and 7th rounds, Lee Hongki seemed to be completely astounded by his performance, waving his hands and saying, “This is not scripted at all!”
But in the 8th round, Lee Hongki went head-to-head with the final contestant, Kim Young Soo, who happened to be a student from KAIST, one of the most academically advanced schools in Korea. Much to the dismay of many fans, Lee Hongki couldn’t get the answer right this time as his luck ran out on the final question. With the loss, he missed out on the chance to win 50 million won, which went to the KAIST student instead.
“It was a fun experience. But I was so nervous that my shoulder muscle feels like it’s sprained,” Lee Hongki said as he left the show. After the show, he also tweeted, “Ah…I still have regrest about 1 vs. 100,” expressing his disappointment in coming up short.
F.T. Island is sweeping up the Taiwanese music charts!
It was recently revealed that their song “Grown Up” off of their “Severely” album had ranked in at #1 on the K-Pop singles chart and most sold K-Pop albums chart on G-Music‘s ‘Kuang Nan Record‘ and ‘eZPeer+‘.
They also ranked first on the K-Pop music chart on MTV Taiwan, demonstrating their popularity in the country.
FNC Music expressed, “F.T. Island has ranked first on nine different charts for albums, broadcasts, mobiles, and ringtones. They’re a hit in Taiwan as well as Korea.”
F.T. Island recently completed their collaborative concert in Los Angeles with CNBLUE and are currently preparing for their next stop on their Asia tour.
FT Island proved that they were the real ‘Flower Boy Band‘.
The boys who are sweeping the charts with their track “Severely” recently guest-featured on a recording for MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ and addressed the various rumors that surrounded their group.
Leader Choi Jong Hoon who consistently is chosen as the best looking member of the band remarked, “We are all confident when it comes to our appearance. None of us have once received plastic surgery.”
Lead vocal Lee Hongki evoked envy amongst the MCs by adding, “Before our debut, I went to receive a consultation at the plastic surgeon’s office, but after the evaluation they told me I had nothing to fix.”
The boys also honestly opened up about complaints they had within the group, and talked about the one member who smelled the most ‘severely’?
