Fairly interesting article:

There's things that seemed a ignorant and unnecessary and quite patronizing, though? Like saying that because Psy went to college in the West then he's this and that. And most of K-pop is typical vacuous, purely fun pop music, but I'm certain I've seen a lot that delved deep and blatant into social commentary. That's not even talking about the indie scene. And the biggest disagreement: Korean culture and its people struck me as being VERY satirical. Plus, the Gangnam Style that Psy is poking at reminds me very much of the soil I'm standing on right now, so I don't get the pointed fingers tone. The writer... idek...
After reading through the comments on the Atlantic article itself, I feel less crazy for my thoughts and feelings xD It made interesting points, but the overall tone was icky and made me blush.
