The title could be misleading. I am watching King the Land at the moment and... light spoiler: Episode 3 and the FL assumes the ML is just making things more difficult for her, but the ML actually responds to his trauma

And things like that make me so angry, because I am an empathic person and wouldn't just assume things like that.

Can you recommend me dramas, where the ML has a tragic past/trauma and just sometimes acts irrational for other people, but the FL is understanding, emphatic and wants to help him, even though she doesn't really know what is going on?

Or where she actually thinks why he might have acted that way. Or where she asks him openly rather than assuming things on her own.

The closest drama that comes to my mind is What's wrong with secretary kim. He can't see wires, because it reminds him of his past, and Mi So is thoughtful about that and also gets protective, when another employee said "But it's just wires"

So Important things:

  • ML with tragic past or trauma or something like that
  • FL is understanding from the beginning and doesn't judge him
  • No weak FL. I want her to be understanding and emphatic, not be a doormat that people can step at
  • No Love at first Sight
  • Preferably ML falls in love first
  • No big age gap (Especially Older Female/Younger Male)
  • No Student-Teacher
  • No Medical dramas
  • Not too long

I watch any language!

Ditto. It really has terrible writing (characterization and narrative). But I'll just laugh it off rather than rant or cry. hahaha....

See You in My 19th Life

I think this one doesn't apply, since FL knows the traumas (His mom and her 18th life) of the ML , thus she is very sympathetic since one of his great traumas is her.

so maybe try these:

  • Just Between Lovers
  • Bride of the Century
  • Do you like Brahms
  • Perfect World
  • The Devil / Lucifer - tragic end
  • I am Sorry I Love You
  • Drunken To love You
  • Golden Pouch - Long since this was a daily

Forever and Ever (best if watched after One and Only, but it definitely fits your criteria)

The Beauty Inside
