With uncanny counter season 2 coming out, my love for the found family trope was also rekindled, so i would like to ask for found family drama recs (good ones please) from any country and any genre (maybe not thriller or horror but i doubt there would be many dramas with found families in those lmao). It doesnt have to contain romance, nor does the 'found family' have to be the focal point of the plot! just a good drama that has a  'blood doesnt make family' vibe. Thank you for any recs you can give!

this is a movie, but Lighting Up the Stars is what I thought of first! it focuses mainly on a rough funeral director and how he basically becomes a father figure to a little girl.

A Dream of Splendor – I would consider the three main female characters a found family

The Fiery Priest – this one is a bit of a stretch, but I feel like the ML became very protective and affectionate with some of the other characters to the point where they're kind of like family to him.

Go ahead (2020), beach boys (1997), meet yourself (2023), winter begonia (2020)

maybe:

  • Ode to Joy
  • Dear My Friends
  • Welcome to Waikiki
  • Stepmother and Daughter Blues
