Recommend me a Cinderella story please

Hi :)

I want to watch something like, female or the male treated poorly by their family and the male/female comes and protects the other.

I need good acting and quality shooting. Country doesn't matter. And i am not into gay shows. Thank you.

Oh. I did not know that there was a liveaction. and cupon checking it was released March this year. Nice. Do you know where to watch with Eng Sub?

Also, Love Alarm fits. Acting is solid overall, ppl love or hate Song Kang.

I saw both series, but I chose not to watch because I usually saw negative comments. Maybe I should see myself. Thank you.

These are kind of similar and both have nods to the fairytale:

  • Black Cinderella (ML protects FL not from her family but from bullying/cruel fellow students)
  • Promise Cinderella (ML is a bully at first but changes and he defends the FL against her horrible ex-husband)

Sweet on Series (ML's family is disgusted with FL, they all hate her a lot. ML supports FL. There's a prequel but there's no need to watch it if you don't want it, I didn't).

 Waiting for You in a City  (Slow burn and second chance romance. FL mom hates ML and his family. Actually there's almost no one her mom likes. The family is very powerfull and they manipulate their own daugther. Not much focus on treating bad ML, the point is FL relation with mentally abusive parents and she learning to live her best life)

Khun Chai Phutthiphat (Khun Chai is a series, they are 5 or 6 brothers. If I remember well enough, all "khun chais" fall in love with a woman that doesn't please the grandmothers and they are very against ML and FL love cause "she's not enough for their rich and important family". )

Love Destiny (everyone hates FL - even ML - 'cause in she's awful at the beginning. But FL's doppelganger from the future enter/ swaps with FL's body and then people treat her bad until they realise how FL changed - pun intended-) Very nice lakorn, really famous. It's worth a chanceeven if the ML doesn't like her at first

 Mussaya (FL is actually one the heirs to the rich family but she's stranged to the family ever since her parents were outcasted 'cause they didn't support their love. Anyway, FL ends up coming back but they hate her a lot and ML tries to be there for her. FL is a fierce woman and she responds the bullies in the family.)

To The Moon and Back- The ML has always been mistreated by his father. But then meets FL and he starts to find happiness again. It's a really cute drama. 

Cinderellas Sister- It practically says it in the title. This one wasn't my absolute favorite, it came off as a little slow, but you might enjoy it since you are looking for the "Cinderella" genre. :)

Doctors- FL had a tough childhood, was mistreated, and even blamed for something she didn't do. She pushes through and the ML gives her comfort, and helped shaped her into the person she became. 

Go Ahead- This one kind of falls into this category. The ML gets treated horribly by his mother, the mother is basically harboring him for herself. It's quite sad actually. But then he finally gets to move out and go back to his "sister"  (she's not his biological sister, they just grew up together) that he's been in love with for years. She helps him heal from his scars and past memories, and they are so adorable. I 1000/10 recommend if you haven't seen this one.

The K2- This one is definitely more on the thriller side than the romance side, but the FL was treated horribly by her family, and the ML basically saves her from all that. This one isn't the most entertaining to me, but some people loooove it. ;)

When the Camellia Blooms- This one fits into your title but doesn't at the same time. It wasn't the FLs family that treated her wrong but the FL was mistreated by her ex-boyfriends family. ( I thinkkkk? It's been a while sorry. ? ) and the people in her neighborhood treat her like absolute crap. But then enters the ML. He falls for her at first sight, and defends her whenever she needs. It's really cute,
