Non Edgy ML but strong ML <2018

Tired of black outfits in middle of the night, lengthy dramatic monologue between antagonist, false bravado, 360 no scope special intelligence agent, swear revenge against antagonist for the 100th time but do nothing or  mary sue (hometown cha cha cha) .

• Battle of Changsha (ML is a military officer with a calm and steady personality but strong and determined and not afraid to act when needed.)
• Bromance (ML is a mob boss but he's very rational, calm, and steady.)
  
• The King in Love (ML doesn't fit this type, but SML who ultimately is the endgame pairing for the FL so more like the ML in that aspect, definitely does - he's a calm, collected, and strong bodyguard who silently protects both the FL and the ML.)
• Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People (Maybe? ML is very strong and I'd say sometimes collected - he does have outbursts of anger toward evil people but they're very justified, and he's calm and gentle with his loved one and friends.)
