Dramatic Romance Drama - ML Falls Hard & Is Willing to Make Major Sacrifices

Please recommend dramatic romance dramas where the ML falls hard for the FL (or other ML, if it's a BL), and is willing to make big sacrifices for her. Ideally, the kind of drama where he's willing to kill to protect her if he has to, and where he's also willing to put his life on the line (and even die for her) to protect her. 

Preferably also dramas where the ML isn't a jerk to the FL for most of the drama. Being a jerk at the beginning isn't a deal breaker if he gets compelling character development. 

If you can, please include a warning if there's super minimal skinship (like Mr. Sunshine).

I mainly watch C Dramas and K Dramas, but I'm interested in recs from any country.

There's a reason I've been stuck on LYF for months. It checks a lot of boxes. ^^

All of these have the ML making huge sacrifices for the FL and no jerk MLs. Also I'm not sure how minimal skinship you meant, so I just marked the ones where the leads never kiss.

• My Lady General (ML doesn't make any sacrifices but he offers to kill her enemy and means it)

• Shining for One Thing (no skinship)
• The Legends 
• Yes, Her Majesty (ML gave up his position and everything just to make the FL happy and he knew at that point she didn't even like him let alone love him.)
• Angel's Last Mission: Love 
• Abyss
• Happiness 
• River Where the Moon Rises 
• Tale of the Nine-Tailed 
• Train (ML is a bit cold at first but more than makes up for it later)
• Golden Blood (BL)

• Love in Han Yuan (I vividly remember a scene where the ML risked his identity/security/life to protect the FL, he was ready to kill the people suspicious of the FL if she made a mistake. It's an espionage drama. I don't remember if there were skinship but probably none to little? It's later revealed that he had fallen for her at first sight way earlier.)
• Mutual Redemption Love (It's a short cdrama and still airing, but the ML has already proven that he will kill for the FL if it meant protecting the FL and offending related people. There's skinship. He already loved her but didn't know her identity at first, but then we see him so deep in love with her because of that sudden realisation.)
