ML is 100% on the FL's side and never makes a mistake

Like the title :) But please not too much of ML's wingman has to explain to the FL what ML actually did or meant or whatever... But more along the lines of the FL always experiencing the ML as her ultimate support no matter what situation she finds herself in. And absolutely no stuff like where the ML is simply too upset about whatever he suspects or blames the FL, even though objectively she probably is the most likely suspect kinda deal.
