I'm posting this recommendation request because I have an impression of Kdramas compared to Cdramas that I hope is wrong, but I need your help proving it.
My (hopefully mistaken) impression is that in Kdramaland it's much harder to find a show where you actually get to enjoy the leads being together than it is in Cdramaland. When it comes to Cdramas, I can think of a bunch of shows where the main couple is enjoyably together for a sizeable number of episodes. Here are a few examples:
Exclusive Fairytale
Forever and Ever
Forever Love
Hi Venus
Hidden Love
Love Me, Love My Voice
Love O2O
Love Scenery
Meet Yourself
Road Home
When I Fly Towards You
You Are My Glory
You Are My Hero
It's not that the leads get together early in all these shows (they don't). It's that all these shows give the audience a lot of time to enjoy the leads actually being together. And it seems like that's harder to find in Kdramaland. I can think of Kdramas where the leads are together for a good chunk of time, but that time is so angsty and melo that you're not really enjoying it. And I can think of Kdramas where the leads are enjoyably together, but only in the last episode or two. With the exception of King the Land, however, I can't think of any Kdramas where the main couple are enjoyably together for a significant amount of time.
I hope I'm wrong. Can you all help?
