My favorite Xianxia are

Legend of Shen Li

Back from the Brink

Love Between Fairy and Devil

Love and Destiny (2019)

Part 3 of Pillow Book (not a fan of forgetting a whole life thing like when Imperial Lord was in the mortal realm)

The first 3 are based on books by the same author -  I love that there aren't any betrayals,  the couples trust each other and most of the angst comes from the situations/outside sources.  What other Xainxia lean toward more of the romantic comedy aspect?  Happy Ending is a must.

TMOPB - I had to drop when she decided to leave her kid to a bunch of people she didn't trust or like and jumped. If she didn't trust him enough to wait for him to get back and find out what was going on, then he wasn't worth ruining her life for.

All of these have happy endings and are on the light side:

and possibly:

  • Believe in Love (there are misunderstandings and it gets much more serious in the second half, but the first half is light and there is a happy ending)
  • The Origin of Eternity (a lot of angst in one of the lives, but a happy ending)
  • Life after Life (misunderstandings/angst between the leads but resolved fairly quickly and a happy ending)
  • Ashes of Love (a lot of comedy in the first half but super angsty/misunderstandings in the second half. There's a happy ending, though)
  • The Starry Love (a lot of comedy, but the ending is a mix of happy/hopeful/open instead of an obvious happy ending)
  • Love and Redemption (a ton of misunderstandings and angst but one of the happiest endings I've ever seen in a xianxia)

Thank you!  I actually watched Love and Redemption, it probably holds the record for most blood spitting and “Si Fang” rang in my head for months lol.

My Queen - It is marked as xianxia, but it is at least not typical one. Mostly it is hilarious comedy with romance. There is a bit of drama too, but it is HE.
Eternal Love of Dream - is part 3 of pillow book the same as this one? Idk. If no, then I recommend also this.
