Hello, I am fairly new to asian drama shows. I have recently watched Hidden Love and was blown away by how exceptional this show was. It was so good that I made an account here just to get into more asian shows.

I really want to know if there are any shows that is like Hidden Love. I have skimmed through the recommendations here and searched many online forums. I have a few on the plan to watch list but when I check properly, it seems that there are not any shows that can really come close to Hidden Love. For instance, I watched When I Fly Towards You and finised it at the time of writing this, and I watched it directly after Hidden Love. While I can tell it was a really good show with a beautful satisfying end, It just was not as emotionally evoking and impactful as Hidden Love. Even now, after a few days of watching HL, and after watching WIFTY, Hidden Love still remains etched into my heart and mind. I really want to know if anyone knows a show like hidden Love. Some of the main points i can think of is the focus on the two main leads throughout the show (with the absence of seconday ML and FL or groups), the incredible acting even through different time gaps, the music, the lighheartedness and fluff, no love triangle or unecessary misunderstandings, the impressive impactful romanitc moments... for those who love Hiddlen Love as much as I do, are there any other feel-good, "dram-free" romance series like Hidden Love? I don't mind if its K-drama or Japanese, once the show fits what I may be looking for.

From my plan to watch list, it seems that You are my glory and love scenery are the top candiates. However, I don't really like the actress appearance in YAMG(for now) so I was thinking to start with love scenery. What do you think?

I apologise for a long exlpanation, but I wanted to try and convey what I am looking for as admantly as possible. As I don't have much time, I don't want to waste time watching series that will disapoint me or waste my time.  Thank you.

I too really enjoyed Hidden Love, I feel like it always be a part of us. Nothing will ever really top it or be exactly the same. lol. Here are some that I enjoyed that are similar to Hidden Love or have the same vibes that you might like..

As for You Are My Glory, and Love Scenery, I do like those dramas, they both have more "drama" in them compared to "Hidden Love." So if you're just wanting to relax with no stress, those wouldn't be my first recommendation. But some might think otherwise.. that's just me. haha

@asian drama lover.

Thank you for your response. I started to watch love scenery and I am at episode 10 at the time of writing this. So far its a bit fustrating to watch mainly because of the older guy that likes the FL and how long it takes for both of them to meet. However, I do really like the music and the ML and FL lead a lot, thats why I still have hope for it. This would have been much better (for me) if it didnt have those third wheelers. I hope the love triangle doesn't esalate or unecessary drama pops up otherwise I will drop it.

As for your recommendations, thank you very much. I do recognise some and I think I will take your advice and watch Love me, Love my voice after I manage to finish Love scenery. Some of the others I did not hear about so i will check them out.

Unfortuantely it seems like there really will not be another show as close to Hidden Love lol.

I was wondering about "Go ahead" but from what I read on forums, it seems to be centered around "family" with romance as the subplot, which comes later in the series. it seems to be more heavy han what I am looking for right now but It does seems like a really good show.

If you have any more advice/rec. I will gladly appreciate it :) thank you very much!  :)

Maybe...

A River Runs through It (long hidden love, although in this case it's the ML toward the FL, starts out in school and then moves into adulthood. It has sort of a nostalgic feeling so the tone reminds me somewhat of Hidden Love)

Lighter & Princess (completely different plot but it captured me the same way. intense chemistry, focus on the leads and their relationship, beautiful soundtrack, and it spans years from the leads in school to reuniting as adults. Both MLs have difficulties in their personal lives and the FL is very supportive.)

My Fated Boy (a gender flipped version of Hidden Love, imo, ML is younger and has a crush on the FL who initially sees him as a younger brother)

First Love (same sort of warm feel, very healthy leads relationship)

Golden House Hidden Love (very different plot and fantasy genre, but it gave me the same kind of feeling in the leads' relationship and tone)

@emeraldarrows

Thank you very much. I have stopped Love scenery at around ep 16. Unfortunately it took too long for them to come together that I already fel the show becoming a burden to watch. I really dislike the gaming part as it dragged, and worst of all, all the supporting cast and "side" stories. Such a shame becuase I really like both the ML and FL and the songs...

Anyways, your reccomendations seem interesting.  Your description of Lighter and Princess really evoked with me so I decided to check it out more online. While it does seem promising it also feels a bit dark/heavy but I think it may be worth it to try.  I don't mind a bit heavier shows but once it has healthy leads and well done romance, (no trangles, squares, circles, extras, nonsense drama etc) then I can put in the time. Thats why my descriotion for Hidden Love recc. was detailed. I realise even dramas classified as "light" can be so draining and for me, considered heavy (not dark).  Since I am new to asaian drama, I don't want to spend hours investing into a show only to be dissapointed (e.g. love scenery), so I tend to try and research a lot before trying a new show.

Thank you very muuch :))

I'll just mention  three dramas, Love O2O, Put your head on my shoulder (Chinese one) and  A Love So Beautiful  (Chinese).

happy watching :))
