So, I would like to watch more male centric costume (historical, wuxia, fantasy) dramas, where female characters don't have important roles. Like, some side romance is okay, but I don't want any 'female empowerment' tropes or romance that becomes a central theme of the drama. I watch C, K, and J dramas so the country doesn't matter.

Also, if you know of some upcoming dramas that fit my requirements you can let me know. Thank you! :)

I've seen The Lost Tomb. The editing near the end is bad because Yang Yang want to quit his agency (the one that make the drama) back then but I like it. I also watch a few of its sequel but I dropped it halfway. But maybe you'd like it. The one with most watchers is Ultimate Note with Zeng Shun Xi (but my brain can't catch up with two ZSX, multiple video recorder, and future possible death). The Mystic Nine is its prequel. I like it.

The Disguiser (war period, since you like Nirvana in Fire, there's three of them here with Jin Dong in bigger role, it's very cool) and The Four.

Guardian of Dafeng and The Immortal Ascension will air on December. I think I prefer Guardian of Dafeng because it will be like The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (I like the novel but dropped the drama, will continue it someday) or Mysterious Lotus Casebook (which you've already watched), a detective story.

A lot of "traditional" C/K/J historical dramas tend to be male-centric, as far as I know, so I think you've got tons of stuff to choose from. But off the top of my head:

I already watched A League of Nobleman and The Blood of Youth. Dropped The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty for some reason, but I may return to it. White Cat Legend also sounds interesting, I'll check it out. Thanks!

Oh, The Lost Tomb. I planned to watch the one with Cheng Yi, but never got around to it. There are so many parts so I'm afraid to skip something, but watching all parts seems like such a huge commitment ?

I may check out The Four and The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (I think I dropped it because of subs). Those two upcoming dramas also sound interesting.

A lot of new (popular) dramas aren't male centric tho. At least the ones that are popular on MDL.

Anyway, thanks for recommendations! Goryeo-Khitan War is already in my PTW list, and The Advisors' Alliance sounds interesting too.

Since I recently finished Shogun I might check out Shinsengumi (years ago I watched the anime about them and it broke my heart lmao, I hope the drama is not as tragic as that anime was) and Taira no Kiyomori. I like Japanese history.

I watched all of them, but thanks anyway!
