ML is Fearless Except When the FL is In Danger

The ML is generally fearless, either because he is confident and competent or because he feels he has nothing to lose. The only time he panics or loses his cool at all is when the FL is in danger, and he does everything in his power to protect her. This can also apply to handful of other people he cares about, but the FL should be his top priority. Please let me know if you have any recommendations that match!
