I m looking for 50 episodes Kdrama

GREAT PLOT WHERE I DON'T GET BORED

someone mentioned to me  ( My Golden Life 2017 )

and ( Bluebird's House 2015 ) Which one is the best

I always watch 20 ep dramas

50 ep will be my first long drama

My Father is Strange

this is the only 50+ episodes kdrama I've ever watched & I don't regret it. The story is  beautifully written & it develops at a great pace. It's a heartwarming drama & I'm sure you won't get bored.

Ojakgyo Brothers!  My first and favorite family drama.  I have attempted several others, but the only one other than Ojakgyo that I could finish was My Father is Strange, which is actually from the same writer, so maybe not a surprise that I liked it too.

Be warned that things get a little, um, over the top at times in long family dramas. Haha

Try Monster.

It isn't a family drama so I for one don't think you'd get stuck in a fight between women for inheritance or money

I watched it I could not continue it I felt bored in the middle the story is good but I think will fit good in 20 Ep

Six Flying Dragons ! One of the best historical dramas made so far and not boring at all. Even the OST is gold as well.

Then maybe try

Ugly Alert

It's been my favourite in 50+ episodes category.

I just took a look at your Dropped list. There are some titles I really liked. So I see this is really hard to recommend a drama to you(also, the stats page says you like crime dramas, 50episodes dramas have crimes and mysteries but aren't the main focus of the show)

You should give some of them even more time(i see you've dropped many of them at the beginning only). You might think I know how this will go but there so many twists and turns even if story goes as what you think it'll go.

For example

Cain and able

The world within

Both dramas I thought I knew how they'll follow but got surprised when I actually finished them.

Here's one more for 50+(but I too have just started watching this)

Good thief bad thief

 HAVA-RAVA:

I was going to say this one as well.  It was my first long kdrama, and is one of my favorites.  There were a few scenes (room of old guys talking about political stuff) that I did think were a bit boring, but it didn't detract from the rest of the show overall.  It's definitely a must watch.

I enjoyed watching All About My Mom. It was one of the first long dramas I've seen & I've even rewatched it before. Here's what you'll get in this drama:

  •  daughter-mother relationship dynamic.  If your mother also plays favorites and you feel overshadowed or taken for granted you will extremely relate. My eyes were bawling at some moments
  • one of the cutest couples that involves a female mc who's good at aegyo. If cute, lovable fool mcs are your cup of tea, then you'll find Chaeri charming.
  • a ML who's really sweet, affectionate, & kind. No cold leads here! The only antagonist here is an evil MIL

The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop was another drama known for a cute couple (side-character; very similar to the one in AAMM) , but the FL in this one was very annoying for me (very weak, gullible, etc.) But the bromance here is great and so is the humor at times!! I really loved Sam Do & Sun Nyeo; they were my favorite bit of the show.

Lastly, I highly recommend to check out the Reply series (Reply 1997; Reply 1994; Reply 1988) . They're only 20-something episodes longs, but each episode averages out to an hour and a half, while some span 2 hrs long.  R97 is easier to digest as it's simpler (mainly focused on high school romance & friendships) and shorter, while R94 & R88 are more complex. R94 is mainly set in college and heavily focuses on friendship atop of romance, while R88 dabbles into the parents' lives as well as their children's.  So it's more focused on family, as well as friendship & romance and spans HS, college, & adulthood.  A lot of people raved over R88, while my favorite gem is R94. (and ofc R97 is a classic that brought all the other Replies)

I love both My Golden Life and House of Bluebirds but between the two, My Golden Life is a definite definite must watch. both are very heartwarming and awesome family drama.

I also definitely agree with VishalIngle about Ugly Alert. It definitely great!!!

But looking at your watch list, you like more of the mystery/thriller genre? And chinese dramas has some of the best of those: Nirvana in Fire and The Disguiser. Both are such must watch in all asian dramaland. But for Kdramas check out the recommendation of HAVA-RAVA regarding Six Flying Dragons, and additionally also you might want to check out East of Eden and Giant. Not really mystery/thriller but more of political and ganster/casino backdrop.

Thriller /mystery actually not my favorite type I don't prefer specific type

If the  story is interesting , I will watch the show

I only type I  don't like is rom-com ( because of the old same story rich guy loves a poor girl and another guy loves her but at the end  both leads stay together and the other guy cries

+ 1 on All About Mother. I enjoyed it a lot more than What Happens to my Family! The love story of the younger son was the best and the drama is worth watching for them alone! The other two love lines were a bit tepid and boring.

Also +1 on Gentleman of Wolygesu Tailor Shop ... but only for the supporting couple, who were super adorable! The leads were boring and annoying as heck, mainly because of the FL who plays the same dumb, idiotic goody two shoes character in every drama. Ironically enough they ended up getting married and having a kid irl. :/

I would also recommend Golden Bride. It's an oldie but definitely a goody, and the leads here are amazing. Very heartwarming. It was the first family drama I watched where the MIL of the FL was kind and caring toward her. For me that was a breath of fresh air. It does get a bit draggy in the middle, but you won't miss anything if you FF.

Smile, You is also quite popular.

Have you tried the historicals?

1) Dae Jang Guem

I think the 50 ep dramas that are being made now are not so Makjang actually. For eg, All About My Mom, What Happens to My Family, Five Enough etc ... these aren't makjang at all. I feel like 50 ep dramas from the mid 2000s and prior epitomize the makjang era. The ones that are being made now seem more modern, more grounded in reality and less staunchly adherent to Confucius values (eg. parents deciding who you should marry) as dramas of the the past. That's just been my observation.
