Hello! Here are a few Netflix dramas and films I loved:
One Spring Night
(Simple and realistic love story, there aren't any fantasy elements, or cups of water being thrown in people's faces, no unnecessary drama, no over the top acting, no super rich people, no action scenes, just day to day life, just ordinary people and palpable emotions, I loved the romance between a pharmacist and a librarian - I fell in love with them as well - I really recommend this one! And just watching Jung Hae In is a real treat!)
Something in the Rain
(Same writer and same director as One Spring Night, it feels like a slice of life drama as well, but the romance is bit more dramatic, more melo, I think - there are a few frustrating misunderstandings, quite realistic, though. Totally worth a watch! It is one of my favourites ever, I love the way they depicted falling in love with someone.)
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
(Light, funny, sweet, upbeat. Park Hyung Sik is gorgeous in this.)
Tune in for Love
(A film that tells a love story over a period of about 10 years, from the mid nineties to the mid 00s. Music plays a big part in this. If you were born in the 80s you'll feel very nostalgic watching it.)
Us and Them
(Chinese film. I loved it so much, I've watched it more than once. From Wikipedia: "The film explores the relationship between a man and a woman who share the same rural hometown and try to find fulfillment together in Beijing in the face of economic, social, familial, and romantic adversity. " Basically. youth dealing with the struggles of real life in the big city and trying to find happiness in the midst of hardship. Very well done, the locations, the acting... - it's very raw and moving.)
One More Time
(I didn't totally love this one at the beginning but, after a few episodes, everything starts to really make sense, and you understand why it had to be that way in the earlier episodes. What seemed to be a light and quite superficial drama, turned out to be quite deep, meaningful and memorable.)
