I have realized that I like food dramas.

First, I watched Bambino![/url] and I really, really loved it (I consider it one of my favorites). Then I watched the cute Antique with all those amazing cakes... Recently I watched Dinner. This made me realize I want to watch more food related dramas! But which one should I watch next? This is where I need your help! I already have some on my PTW list but I don't know what to choose first. It could also be something that's not yet on my list.

I'll list some things I want:

+ I plan to watch the movie Antique Bakery soon, but now I'm looking for a drama.
+ I prefer Japanese dramas, but other would be fine, too.
+ I prefer short (short-ish) dramas, around ten episodes. Or not longer than 20.
+ It doesn't have to be about a restaurant, it can just as well be a bakery. It can be either food or pastries (or even both).
+ It should not only take place in a restaurant/bakery, but be about food/cooking/baking and people who enjoy eating/cooking/baking. (My Name Is Kim Sam Soon does not count as a "food drama", imo. She does think about food a lot, but doesn't spend a lot of screentime on baking.) In other words, food/cooking should be a major part of the plot in one way or another.
+ Many close-ups on yummy food and gorgeous cakes is definitely a plus, I like eyecandy of the edible variety. ;)

Something about what I don't like:

- As for the plot, anything goes [u]except
super melodramatic romance... Actually, I prefer if it's more about friendship, but I don't mind if there's a bit of romance. I like it cute, simple and heartwarming. A touch of comedy wouldn't be wrong but it's not a must.
- I prefer if there's no annoying evil character who tries to sabotage the main character's love life, etc!! (Well, okay, so this is dramaland - there will almost certainly be at least some hints of that in most dramas, and I'll live with that... but there are some that are refreshingly free of it.)
- I also don't want a male lead who is a total jerk who tries to control his love interest's life. I don't mind to sometimes see a male lead who's a bit cold and distant at first (if he's otherwise kind-hearted, smart and awesome), but I don't like it if it turns into stupid posessiveness and so on. (Of course, this is perhaps not very relevant as long as it isn't a romance drama. The male lead in Dinner is my kind of guy, though, even if there was no romance.)

I don't mean to sound like I'm picky or asking for too much when I list all these details of my likes/dislikes; the main point is that I want a good food-related drama! :) I'm just trying to spare you guys the trouble of recommending something that I'm not really looking for.
Shinya Shokudo 1 & 2. Each short episode (20ish minutes?) is set around a particular dish and what it means to the person who orders it.

(You must be looking forward to Shitsuren Chocolatier. =))
What about "Let's Eat" ? There's only 4 episodes out right now, since there is only one episode per week, but i quite like it..It's funny and heartwarming, seems to be about friendship but looks like there might be a romance in the future, who knows :D

Thank you, that one looks good! I'll watch it soon.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it! :) I hope it's as good as it sounds.

Thank you, it does sound like something I would like. I haven't watched many k-dramas yet, I've been thinking that I should try one soon. :)
There are a couple that I really liked, mayonaka no panya-san- takes place in a boulangerie and I thought was cute and heartwarming, and lunch queen. One drama I was going to watch is osen, a drama about a Japanese restaurant inn and it's food preparation, it looks yummy! Another food drama I was going to start watching, is king of baking- I love all things pastry ^_^
Yes you should watch Let's Eat. Its definitely about food and pretty fun to watch.
Thank you, sabubu, Nana87, witlily and Ari_lee! With all this, I think my appetite will be satisfied for a while!
If I may add my 2 cents...

Besides seconding (and thirding) the recommendations for Let's Eat (which is basically Korean food porn), Osen (very cute and informative on traditional Japanese food preparation), and Hungry! (kinda rock 'n' roll meets French cooking), I'd like to add My Little Chef and Lunch Queen for your consideration (though I'd check out those other 3 first).
Fermentation Family - the best thing about the drama was when they would prepare a different kimchi and show it in detail. I had never thought kimchi could be so intricate & delicate,
Pasta - most of the drama takes place in the kitchen like 90% probably Panda and hedgehog - bakery Fondant garden - bakery King of baking - besides tons of baking it has a great storyline Antique bakery - great movie Flower boy ramyun shop - older female younger man romance with yummy noodles Happy Michelin kitchen Rolling love
Alas, most of my recommendations exceed 20 ep but they are good. Rebound was funny and cute! Pasta was also cute. Panda-and-hedgehog was also cute and all about the bromance! But if you ever consider them; Fermentation-family was really good!
Fermentation family is really underrated and it's a good one about the korean cultural plat 'Kimchi', in this drama we find the killing eyes of Song Il Gook, some exaggeration in the story part but a lot better than king of baking story = king of bashing story
I know you're looking for dramas, but perhaps you'd like to add Tampopo to your list for future reference. It fits your bill almost perfectly, except that it's a movie.
