Like the ML is in his forties and FL is in her twenties. And where perhaps she doesn't realize she loves him at the beginning, like the chinese drama Beauty From Heart. https://mydramalist.com/24929-beauty-from-heart

mr. sunshine !! this drama is a,, masterpiece

a definite must watch.
the cinematography is impeccable, the ost is heartbreaking, and powerful acting, the story itself is heart wrenching. and every character was so intriguing and deeply developed, which will make you very attached to each and everyone of them.

in terms of story again this is so much more than your usual romance heavy or oriented drama. The drama explores the road toward the Korean independence and the struggle of the people around that time.

Mr. Sunshine  has a large age gap (but it has not only romance, but other genres as well). Also The King of Dramas and Touch. In all this dramas ML is more like mentor at first, before he becomes a lover.

Japanese Love Lasts Forever

Age gap between doctor and immature nurse made for an unrealistic couple and cringe worthy most of the time.

Who Are You(2008) is one of my absolute favorite age gap dramas that isn’t rly widely known of or mentioned. It’s not like, huge, but she just graduated from hs (so 18+/19) & he’s almost 30 I think so definitely significant.

A lot of historical dramas like Dong Yi have a pretty significant age gap between leads, but it’s not the center of attention in their couple because circumstances were different and he’s kind of, uh, the king lol.

Also, a previous poster mentioned An Incurable Case of Love already but I’ll mention I found it really cute and honestly couples of that sort aren’t really ones that I consider unrealistic, like at all.
