Typically misunderstandings are used to drive jealousy or make the leads drive apart, but I want a drama where the misunderstanding drives them together.

 kwoon:
the misunderstanding drives them together
  • Her Private Life - The ML mistakenly thinks the FL is in a secret lesbian relationship, and offers to fake date her due to certain circumstances for a while so she can avoid exposing that secret relationship
  • Coffee Prince - The ML would not have hired the FL to shake off his blind dates or to join his all-male coffee shop staff if he hadn't mistaken her for a man.
  • My Secret Romance - The ML mistakenly thinks the FL is badly injured / dying and ends up dramatically carrying her through a hotel to an ambulance and embarrassing her, which leads to him comforting her later. The FL also mistakes him for a regular bellboy rather than the rich son of the hotel owner, which makes her comfortable sharing her misery and drinking with him.
  • Mr. Sunshine - The FL mistakenly thinks that the ML is Korean and a fellow rebel who works as part of the local staff at the US consulate when he is actually a Korean-born (to slaves and chased out of the country by their slave master) American and captain in the US army / head of the US Consul. She also misunderstands the idea behind the English word "love". Both misunderstandings bring them closer.
