Historical drama with strong female lead

I really enjoy historical dramas where the female lead goes from being poor/slave (basically bottom of the social status) to the top of the social status (queen, empress, or something similar).

One feature I like is a hidden or secret identity.

Chinese dramas (wuxia or xianxia)

And kdrama.


The kind I like:
Empress Ki
Princess Wei Young
Love and redemption
Ashes of Love
Queen Seon Duk

etc

Cruel Palace. The female lead is an anti-heroine, though. She's smart and ambitious, but also merciless and just straight-out amoral, I think.

The long ballad???-it's complicated.... I dont want to spoil it for you. There is a lot of hidden or secret identities, the whole drama is about it. And more characters are going back and forth between being top of the social status and poor (personally, I was the most amazed with SFL's story. It was nicely done and very touching).

Watched Legen of Fuyao, what an amazing epic drama. Loved it.

Historical cdrama, wuxia, xianxia, etc. is just awesome.

'Who Rules the World' is airing, and I love how the FL holds her own x

I watched Novoland: Pearl Eclipse, it was alright, but I preferred Legend of Fuyao.

Watching now The Rise of Phoenixes, very well made drama. It is more of a realism than I prefer but it's very good, similar to Nirvana in Fire. I do prefer the dramas having some fantasy elements to it.
