Netflix dramas with possessive heroes

Hello

I would like to watch a drama where hero is possessive. The story needs to be like the hero and heroine are enemies. Hero unknowingly falls in love with heroine. He tries his level best to suppress his feelings. But he couldn't do that. Heroine falls in love lately with hero. She needs to take a lot of time before falling for hero. 

I would like it to be an American series which is available in Netflix.  And Period dramas are preferred.

I liked Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion. I like the angsty romances.

lol since when is Pride and Prejudice or Persuasion an american story XD That's more british than possible.

Honestly the only american period drama i know of is;
- Gilded Age, which is on Hbo so i dunno how lucky you will be with finding that on netflix.

Otherwise  I'd recommend you to check out the other works of Jane Austen.
like;
- Emma (either the 1996 movie, the 2009 series,  or the 2020 movie),
- Mansfield Park (either 1999 or 2007 version) (though she falls in love first here)
- Northanger Abbey
- Love & Friendship
- Sanditon
Or other british period drama like;
- Little Dorrit
- North & South
- Poldark

And since this is the asian recommendation room, some asian dramas as well :) check them out they are really nice.

I meant to say that I would prefer to watch American series.

And I liked Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion. I gave examples so that people will understand what type of dramas I would prefer.
