What are your 'guilty pleasure' romance reccs?

Hana Yori Dango was my first, ha ha. Terrible ML and yet somehow..!

A more recent example, like someone said above: Return the World to You. Crazy, unbelievable revenge plot, but I really enjoyed the ride! :D

Also Mask and That Winter, the Wind Blows.

Ah, now I suddenly feel like watching something like that... :p

Love Alarm. I know it has poor reviews but it’s kinda my guilty pleasure.

Takane to Hana it has low reviews but I love the banter between the leads.

Cheese in the Trap love the mysterious ML. Still haven’t figured out why I love this one because I don’t like the SML as others seem to love.

The Princess's Man - Bittersweet ending.
Tempted - Open ending, hinting at a happy future.
Marriage Contract - Open ending, but with a strongly implied and imminent tragic future.

Not what you asked for, but kind of sort of similar so I thought I'd include it:

My Mister - Happy ending. Not really a romance at all, but the FL's relationships with the ML and SML are both super emotionally intense in ways that are unconventional and (definitely in the SML's case if not the ML's case) twisted and perhaps romance-adjacent.

Not favourites of mine (partly because of the overall vibe and partly because of the most tragic or toxic parts) but you could also try:

+1 The King's Woman - Open ending, but with a strongly implied and imminent tragic future.
The Rise of Phoenixes - Tragic ending.
Maid's Revenge - Tragic ending.
Empress Ki - Sort of a bittersweet ending.
The Imperial Doctress - Open ending, but strongly hinting at a happy future after a lot of sacrifices.
Misty - A fairly tragic ending, although some of it is only strongly implied.
Bloody Romance - Definitely not a happy ending, but there's a clue that makes the ending slightly less tragic than it initially appears.
KinnPorsche - BL. Happy ending iirc.
Utsukushii Kare - BL. Season 1 has a happy ending. I haven't finished Season 2.
TharnType - BL. I don't remember how it ends.
Eternal Love - I don't remember how it ends.
Mysterious Love - I don't remember how it ends.
