I liked Love In Sadness (2019) and Run (2020, starring Sarah Paulson, which is not an Asian drama, but it's also about escaping from a possessive love). Both dramas are about the FL being held captive by someone who's obsessed over her and she tries to escape.

I can't find something similar with comparable visual, storyline and production qualities. I've watched Love In Sadness' predecessors (Let Me Introduce Her, Utsukushii Hito and Sleeping with the Enemy).

Please recommend some melodramas with similar theme

@honey_boo : Thanks! I read the synopsis and it's about escaping from a possessive love, exactly what I'm looking for

I guess you can try : Door Lock (movie)

it's more about an obsession (a little bit of horror) rather than about "escaping from an obsessive lover", he is just a complete psycho ^^.

@Saygo : Thanks! Kingyo Tsuma seems to have the same abusive partner theme as Love In Sadness and Under Your Bed looks similar to Netflix's You, minus the escape part

@Dejes : Thanks, it looks interesting. I'll check it out

@fanitha : Thanks, the drama poster looks intriguing

That's what I was coming to recommend. Strap in for a wild ride, this one is DARK!

A few turkish drama shows come to mind: Siyah Inci, Kara Sevda (this one is magnificent) and Fi.

I've not watched the end of Fi, but it starts with the obsession and the guy trapping the woman. It's beautifully done, I just don't know if she'll get to escape because turkish shows are a bit "special"
