Strong and smart female lead pls

Can you recommend me a chinese/korean drama with a strong smart female lead? I can't get past The story of Minglan, i've watched it like 5 times now, and i can't find anything better....

I recommend Wei Yingluo from Story of Yanxi Palace. She is smart, strong, cunning, determined, and loyal. You will not see her making decisions that insult her intelligence.

So far, except for Minglan, other female leads with the "same" traits aren't well written from beginning to end, as most of them are usually ruined by the script (they "happen" to become clumsy as the episodes go by). It is disappointing.

I agree with you about female leads in general. I was going to recommend Yanxi palace too but  OP already watched it. All the female characters were amazing in that one.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Happiness. Hard to find a more strong and smart FL than that. And with the added plus that she's paired with an equally strong and smart ML, rather than a giant man-child.
