Help!  I've seen so many older romances, and now it seems like the industry is focusing on fantasy, revenge, corruption, bullying, etc.  I am desperately searching for a really good romance.  Not historical, not too angsty, not BL, preferably Korean because C-dramas have SO MANY episodes!  Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Pbly ones you've already seen, but all of these are non-angsty with good romances:

  • Touch Your Heart (older, 2019)
  • My Roommate is a Gumiho (modern fantasy)
  • Hometown Cha Cha Cha
  • Business Proposal
  • My Little Happiness (Cdrama, but "only" 28 eps)

Meeting Yourself is currently in progress and has a high rating.

Lighter and Princess - the chemistry is great but the plot was not my cup of tea.

I am about to watch Time and Him Are Just Right  because it seems to be fluffy and not angsty

My favorite couple is in Unexpected Falling. The chemistry is amazing but it is a slow-burn romance.

Crazy Love

That's the only romance Korean drama of 2022 I found quite enjoyable. Sadly 2022  was a really bad year for Korean dramas....I honestly couldn't find any romance drama that I truly found super well done

Thecla, those are all shows I thoroughly enjoyed.  SuadaHedi, does Meeting Yourself have another name?  I couldn't find it.  I put your recommendations on my list, though they are longer than I like (I'm that desperate!).  Lou, thank you for the recommendation for Crazy Love, I think that's next on my list!

@michelleoc  If you haven't seen it, you could also try  Once Upon a Small Town (shorter version of Home town Cha Cha Cha with a male vet instead of a female dentist and lots of animals). And, out in left field, Isekai Izakaya Nobu is a relaxing JDrama with short 25 min episodes and 2 seasons, even if it's more food porn than rom com.

Soundtrack (only 4 episodes)

The below dramas have an element of romance in it but not strong (but a good ending if thats what you're after)

- My Liberation Notes

- Happiness
