FL ends up with less expected candidate?

Hi! Could you recommend some dramas in which fl ends up with the less expected choice (someone initially thought the sml I guess)? Ideally there is a good amount of build-up for them ending up together.

A good example is The King in Love. We’ll agree to disagree about the Reply series because for me none of the husbands were anything less than obvious (in a good way, I love them lol).

Itaewon Class - Here it is kinda the reverse. The male lead ends up with a female lead we wouldn't have thought he would end up with.
Cinderella and her four knights - so here it is only in the beginning a bit of a mystery but the more you continue to watch the more you realise who the main interest is
Touch - here a lot of people were surprised with who she ended up with.

This will completely spoil the drama for you, in case you do watch it. But the one that came to mind is Love Alarm and its second season (14 episodes in total for both seasons) . Fair warning, most people hate this drama‘s final couple. In my case I couldn’t have been happier with the final pairing, so, yay for me, I guess.

I’ve watched (or at least attempted to watch) everything recommended so far save for Itaewon Class which I should really get to one of these days…thanks for the reminder!

As far as Love Alarm goes, is the execution of the second season really that bad? I don’t mind the pairing at all but kept hearing everyone complain about the quality…was it actually a biased view bc their ship didn’t end up together? Bc I’d give it a try if it’s not actually, well, bad

Ah, tough question. I think S2 was weaker than S1, and since the plot was completely focused on the love triangle, I do understand how not getting your endgame couple would completely ruin the drama.
But honestly, I don’t believe that most of the viewers who say ‘it was terrible, regardless of the final pairing’, are unbiased.

Monkey and Dog Romance (I mean, you could argue about the good build-up AND I shipped her more with the other guy, but it was definitely suprising. And actually a cute fun drama)
My First First Love (I didn't really find the final couple suprising, I also shipped them from the beginning, but from all the comments I've read, not all people found the couple predictable)
Failing in Love (It's more of an open ending, but it was really confusing for me, with whom she ends up with. So yeah)

Maybe the fan of the SML thinks, from story point its clear that SML never had chance since the first episode.

Strongest Deliveryman - ML & SFL , SML & FL spends most the time, lots of character progression between them expect the last few episodes suddenly paring was changed.
