My Favorite Dramas
After much thought, I've realized that it has become harder for me to rank my favorite dramas. So now, this list is organized first by rating and then by alphabetical order.

1. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
- Despite how odd the plot might sound, it is definitely one of the best BL dramas that will ever exist.
- Both couples were cute and healthy, and every character was very relatable.

2. Barakamon
Japanese Drama - 2023, 11 episodes
- I wanna learn calligraphy now because of this!!!!!!!
- It's such a heartwarming, funny, relaxing, and inspiring show.

3. Beyond Evil
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
- The first thriller / crime / investigation drama to make it into my list of favorites.
- I have zero complaints about the story, acting, OST, characters (plus their dynamics), and pacing.

4. Hikaru no Go
Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes
- An underrated gem that deserves more recognition.
- Amazing acting, great story, interesting characters, and great pacing.

5. Hot Stove League
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
- I never thought that managing a baseball team could be so intense and nerve wracking.
- Seeing so many hardworking and determined characters inspired me a lot.

6. Ichiban Sukina Hana
Japanese Drama - 2023, 11 episodes
- One of the best friend groups I've ever seen in any show.
- Slow-paced, heartwarming, sweet, and so relatable.

7. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
- Silly and over-the-top characters with pure hearts!
- So many cute interactions between all characters.

8. Kinou Nani Tabeta?
Japanese Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
- Simple, but entertaining and sweet.
- I like to re-watch it when I just want to relax and don't have too much free time.

Korean Drama - 2018, 18 episodes
- Nobody warned me that a show about the day to day life of police officers could be so interesting and trigger so many different emotions.
- I adored every single character and the dynamics they had with each other.

10. My School President
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
- I expected nothing from it and now it has become one my ultimate BLs; it is pure perfection.
- I would do anything for these boys who share the same braincell.

11. Nijiiro Karute
Japanese Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
- A simple plot that makes you shed tears (of happiness and sadness).
- Every character is great and it's so heartwarming to see how much they all love and support each other.

12. Nirvana in Fire
Chinese Drama - 2015, 54 episodes
- Despite being disappointed at the beginning because I was struggling to follow the story, I ended up loving it.
- The story is so well-written that it's so satisfying to see the plot unfold.

13. Old Fashion Cupcake
Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
- Wasn't expecting much from it but became obsessed after watching the 1st episode.
- It should be a crime for this drama to be so short!

14. Ototo no Otto
Japanese Drama - 2018, 3 episodes
- Despite having only three episodes, it had a big impact on me.
- Made me cry too much the first time I watched it.

15. Prison Playbook
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
- A very funny but at the same time serious drama.
- I only have one complaint about it (which I cannot mention since it would be a major spoiler) but I still think it deserves a 10/10.

16. Story of Yanxi Palace
Chinese Drama - 2018, 70 episodes
- So many characters and so many sub-plots but the story never gets boring.
- Ended up hating some of the characters I used to like and ended up loving some characters I used to dislike.

Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
- The drama that made me start watching more dramas, especially Chinese ones.
- I get emotional every time I listen to one of the songs from this drama.

18. Winter Begonia
Chinese Drama - 2020, 49 episodes
- It's so beautiful in so many ways.
- I'd sell my soul just to see all the deleted scenes that didn't get past censorship.

19. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
- Ohm and Nanon's chemistry is beyond perfection.
- The story is fairly simple but its execution was great!

Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
- I should get a reward for predicting that this was going to become one of the best BLs by GMMTV.
- I'd sell my soul to see Krist and Gawin act together forever.

21. Bokura wa Kiseki de Dekite Iru
Japanese Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
- Kazuki my beloved!!!!!
- Just a relaxing drama about a guy obsessed with animals.

Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
- Trying to explain the plot and relationship between the main characters is complicated.
- This drama blew my mind so many times; it's a shame it is so underrated.

Chinese Drama - 2012, 76 episodes
- It has so many scheming and smart characters.
- Interesting from beginning to end.

24. HIStory2: Crossing the Line
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
- My first Taiwanese BL.
- Simple but very well done.

25. Koisenu Futari
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
- The aroace representation I needed in my life!
- Very impactful and heartwarming.

26. Konya Sukiyaki Dayo
Japanese Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
- So inspirational, funny, sweet, and relaxing.
- Portrayed the kind of life I want.

Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
- It deserves a higher rating than what it has in MDL.
- Choosing a side was basically impossible for me.

28. Life Is Beautiful
Korean Drama - 2010, 63 episodes
- The series that made me feel so many emotions in each episode.
- Started watching it because of the gay couple but ended up loving almost all the characters.

Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
- One of the best representation of the struggles of LGBTQ+ individuals.
- The characters full of complexity and depth., and the symbolism and parallels were fantastic.

30. Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki
Japanese Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
- The bromance was exquisite.
- It was too good but too short, I NEED MORE EPISODES.

31. Ore no Ie no Hanashi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
- I fell in love with this dysfunctional family.
- It's able to make you laugh (and cry) a lot.

32. Q Series: A Boy Named Flora A
Taiwanese Drama - 2017, 7 episodes
- It took me years to finally convince myself to watch it because I thought I wouldn't like it but of course I was wrong.
- Every episode would make me laugh and suddenly it would leave me in tears.

33. The Crowned Clown
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
- A story about morally grey characters trying to accomplish what they think it's the best for the country.
- I completely regret not starting this drama sooner; I loved every second of it.

34. The Long River
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
- Despite its "serious" theme, it was unexpectedly entertaining and fun.
- I loved every main characters despite their flaws, but the Emperor was my favorite.

35. The Wind Blows from Longxi
Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes
- Trying to understand the story and at the same time predict what would happen was an amazing experience.
- If you showed me a picture of the two main characters together, I'd probably cry (don't ask me why; watch the show and find out for yourself).

Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
- The word soulmates is not enough to describe the relationship between the main leads.
- The censorship was basically non-existent.

Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
- My first Filipino drama.
- The interactions between Mico and Xavier are really cute.

38. Mr. Sunshine
Korean Drama - 2018, 24 episodes
- Rooting for a hetero couple was something I thought I'd never do until I watched this.
- Emotionally damaging but very impactful and engaging.

39. Ossan's Love
Japanese Drama - 2018, 7 episodes
- The comedy and the chaos in this show are 100% my cup of tea.
- I am so fond of every character and I will defend all of them with all my might!

40. Two Fathers
Taiwanese Drama - 2013, 73 episodes
- The series that I've re-watched way too many times but never fails to make me smile.
- Very family friendly and relaxing.
