I actually liked the setting of Season 2 better than Season 1 (which I dropped due to becoming quite bored by the plot - I know about the ending and stuff nonetheless), which was weird because I usually like dramas based during the Japanese Colonial Rule. However, there were soooo many open questions, and wth was the ending? My friend and I constantly came up with theories. Some were right. Some were never revealed. Eventually leading to us being disappointed with how the second season developed.
I believe Season 1 could have been an independent series. And I also believe Season 2 could have been way better if they would have added 3 more episodes and created an appropriate ending. The epilogue/scene after credits was incredibly unnecessary. An interesting plot idea but better as a general spin-off or independent series. Rating Season 2 a 7/10 was gracious. The setting and idea is grand but the execution was lacking and not fully developed which led to plot holes and a general dissatisfaction with the ending.
